Gumball Green and Whisper White look fresh and sophisticated together on this card that could easily transition from sympathy to almost any occasion. And let’s face it . . . anything looks lovely stamped with the Stampin’ Up! Pleasant Poppies stamp.
I based my design on this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO287).
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- Intrigued by the elongated scallop element on the left? I used the largest of the Stampin’ Up! Ovals Collection Framelits Dies to add a snappy edge.
- The two Gumball Green patterns from Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack (Stampin’ Up! Spring Catalog) compliment each other beautifully. I even used a tiny snippet on the sentiment.
- The beauty of the Stampin’ Up! Petite Pairs stamp set (see images below) is that there is a coordinating sentiment for both the exterior and interior of a card. Simple.

PLEASANT POPPIES:
Just looking at this card makes one feel better; it’s such a lovely design and so soothing.
Beautiful card-so elegant!
Fabulous card, Mary! You have a great style of card making and this card fits it perfectly! You also do wonderful things every time you use Pleasant Poppies! TFS!
beautiful card, Mary…I especially liked the way you used the a circle scallop to layer the inside sentiment. The Petite Pairs set is great because of the “inside/outside” sentiments but they are small and the inside greeting can look a little lost on the page so the layering is a great idea! What a beautiful sympathy card Mary, and those are so hard (emotionally) to create. Love the monochromatic, and that you didn’t color in the flower-image!
Love this monochromatic idea for this poppy stamp…gorgeous in green!
This is beautiful!! It’s definitely a fresh look for this time of year.
MAry, This is such a cute card. I love your ideas. That Poppies stamp is so versatile.
You always come up with great ideas. Have a great day. Ellen
This is lovely Mary. Your card has a crisp, clean feel to it. I hadn’t realized before how nice the Print Poetry DSP was before now. I’m going to have to add it to my list. Love your creativity.

have a nice day ,
I think this is a beautiful card. The green and white was an excellent choice.
Loving all that green and have always loved that poppy image! Fabulous take on the sketch.
What a gorgeous card, Mary!
I knew Gumball was a bit of a gamble . . . but thought it would be fresh for Spring. Liked the results. Honestly, any color would look good with this design . . . even a simple neutral like Basic Black or Crumb Cake (with Very Vanilla card stock). You could easily go pastel, like all Wisteria Wonder, too 🙂
LOVE THIS CARD!!! Very pretty and so elegant yet comforting also.
Beautiful card!
This is a beautiful card Mary .. in every way.
I hate typos sorry!
I love, love, love this card. Thans fr the inspiration.
Really beautiful Mary, this color is not the traditional one for this type of cards but in this case it works wonderfully. I love the lay out too and the softness that the pearls add to the design.
Beautiful, Mary! I never would have thought to use Gumball Green for a sympathy card but this is perfect, and I love the layout.
