Mojo Monday Thank You Card

Happy Labor Day!  I hope many of you can enjoy a day of relaxation and stamping inspired by this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO257).

Mojo257SketchSTAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • If you are a clean and simple stamper like me, a card with lots of layers and embellishments can be a little intimidating.  My advice?  Deconstruct the sketch (in your head) to see how you can make it your own style.  I like to use lots of white, focus on a key color (Summer Starfruit used today) and a balance of basic embellishments.

  • Stampin’ Up! Brushed Bronze Designer Buttons (p. 32 of the Holiday Catalog) add a rich finish but still keep the design clean.  I added Linen Thread (doubled) for a fun “stitch.”
  • The “thank you” sentiment (Made for You stamp set) was cropped to perfection using the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies and my Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine.
  • NEW!!!  STAMPIN’ UP! FREE RIBBON OFFER!  That luscious touch of 3/8″ Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin Ribbon provides a pretty contrast and touch of sheen.  Get it FREE with a $40 product order in September.  Learn more about the Stampin’ Up! Back to “Spool” Special.

LILY
MISS LILY GRACE . . . I recently posted a birthday card I created for my grandniece who is nutso about owls.  Here’s the original link.   I thought it was telling to see her sweater in this new photo!
