I hope you are ready to “kick up yer heels” and participate in this week’s Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge (PPA141). It’s another beauty by Stampin’ Pretty Pal Margaret Moody. For more artistic inspiration, please check out what the rest of the PPA Design Team has created for this sketch HERE.
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- Experiment! I flipped the sketch 90 degrees to try a new perspective.
- I used a Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Write Marker to color the stitch at the top of the boot.
- The card base measures 5 x 5″. Each strip of Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper measures 4″ x 1″. I think this pattern is a slam dunk complement to the western vibe! How about you?
- The Merri Minis star stamps coordinate perfectly with the Merry Minis Star Punch (Merry Minis Punch Pack). This dynamic duo landed on My Top 10 Holiday Catalog Favorites.
- Rhinestone Basic Jewels bring on the bling for the finishing touches. While creating this card, Glen Campbell’s “Like a Rhinestone Cowboy” kept playing in my brain . . . over and over!

Fantastic boot card Mary, my daughter who recently moved to Texas would love it.
Love this fun card, Mary! You’re making me reconsider this set! Love the colors and the row of rhinestones! Yeehaw!
Hello!
What a colorful and fun card! Love the shoes stamp! I just read Heather’s post about your blog – congratulations! You do have a fantastic blog and deserve this recognition! I have always been one of the bloggers who wish “I want a blog like Mary Fish!” Wishing you a happy day!
Hugs,
Barbara Diane
Fabulous card….made me giggle as I started humming the music to that movie! Anyone should love to receive this card…loving the colors!

Yee-haw! Love the boot – and love the colors you used!
Mary, THis card is so adorable. I love the colors. The design is so sweet. Love, Love, Love it. Have a great stamping Day
I had to look twice before I realized you turned the sketch sideways. Why didn’t I think of using the same pattern 4 times. It would have been so much easier!
Love this card. I keep looking at that stamp set, but can’t figure out if I would use it enough. Hmmm… sure do love the way you used it, and the bling just makes it!!
LOL…now I can’t get that song out of my head….love your card!!! That song…not so much…LOL Just kidding ya.
Very Fun Mary! I love all of the little details you added, so cute.
Hi Mary! yee haw, this is such a rootin’ tootin’ fun card. I just love all the fabulous sparkle! Have a great day today! 🙂
As soon as the page loaded I was thinking of TEXAS because of the boot having the stars on it. It’s sooo TEXAS STYLE! I hate to inform Carol that the blue isn’t the correct shade of blue for the colors of Texas but that’s okay.
What a fabulous card Mary!! 🙂
I’m so glad to read that I’m not the only one who always has to have every single stamp set that you use!! How creative was that last little touch on your card to set the red layer at an angle to give that sense of “a little kickin’ goin’ on.”
kadie . . . YOU talked me into the stamp set. thanks 🙂 it’s so much fun to snip out the boot (skooot boogie). hugs, m
So cute! But, now I’ve got the song “Like a Rhinestone Cowboy” going thru my head over, and over…
Hello Mary: This card is fun and playful, fabulous colors, great man card. It’s hard to make cards for guys and this one is perfect.
Thanks for always making me want to get every single stamp set you use, LOL!!
Maria.
Kicking up my heels over your card Mary!
There is nothing better than bling on a boot! It is such a FUN card! Thanks.
Honestly LOVE the card – but I keep hearing Boooooot Skooooot and BOOOOGIE in my head! Many thanks for sharing your fabulous creation with us.
MARY! Why do you make me want ALL the stamp sets? This is so cute!
The colors are shouting “TEXAN” to me…..it is a 10, on a scale of 1-9……keep up the great work partner!……
What a darling card. So original. Great colors too.
Makes me wish I had a pair of boots to kick up! This is so cute! I love all the rhinestones and what a great way to use Festival of Prints DSP! 🙂
