Summer Mini Sneak Peek: Sail Away

Stampin up open sea fathers day card ideas
Can you believe it's almost time for the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Catalog?  My demonstrator pre-order package just arrived (I have a passion for brown trucks).  I thought I would tease you a bit this week with some of the new stamps and accessories that will be available for customer purchase on May 1, when the Summer Mini begins.

Let's kick it off with Sail Away, a single stamp, that looks terrific heat embossed (my choice today) or watercolored.  Supreme for masculine cards and  Father's Day.  The sentiment is from Best Dad Ever (yep, you'll see the rest of that one soon enough).

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIP:  A little sponging in Basic Black enhances the rustic feel of the image and adds dimension.

  1. Mary: You do masculine cards better than anyone I know! This card is gorgeous!

  2. Well, Mary, you’ve done it again! I had decided maybe I didn’t need the stamp set that coordinates with the postage stamp punch (upcoming Summer Mini), but two more items have been added to my wish list! I loved your comment about brown trucks. I, too, love brown trucks!

  3. You always do such a great job on your cards……my brother has a sail boat, this will be the perfect stamp for his birthday in August. Thanks for all the work you share with us……patm

  4. I have the same passion for those brown trucks . My pre-order arrived yesterday and I can’t wait to have fun with it this weekend. Your Sail Away is beautiful and it really does look great heat embossed.

    Thank you for sharing!

  5. You get your orders so quick! I usually have to wait a week and a few days for my new stuff. Enjoy playing! The card is great.

  6. I just updated my title to “Sail Away!” You know how you get stuck thinking the “wrong name” for something? That’s the case with this new stamp. It’s updated now 🙂

    Hugs, M

  7. I saw this stamp in the summer mini and knew I wanted it, and you have showcased it wonderfully! Awesome masculine card! Love your style!

  8. Good morning, Mary: Oh!! I love what you did with this stamp. It’s always hard for me to make cards for men and this one is amazing. Simple, elegant and fun. I can’t wait for the Summer Mini Catalog.

  9. Love it! You made a stamp I wasn’t very interested in very enticing to me now!
