D?cor Elements: Turn Drab Into Delightful

Stampin up decor elements adornment

I'm busy reorganizing my Stampin' Up! business space (pretty new files, crisp labels with my Modern Label Punch . . . the essentials. LOL 🙂   The calendar above was purchased as part of my time management "overhaul" and because I loved the smashing black and white interior (below).

The exterior, although sturdy, was pretty boring plastic (below).  Yawn.

Stampin up decor elements adornment Using D?cor Elements Adornment (in White, 117934), the drab vinyl cover received a delightful, custom makeover.  Adornment is also available in Dark Gray, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Taken with Teal, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron.  I trimmed the spiral side by about an inch to make it fit on the cover.

IMPORTANT:  D?cor Elements work best on smooth surfaces (smooth walls or glass, for example).  I was able to transfer the complete pattern to my textured cover . . . but the texture makes it trickier.  I'm tenacious and was willing to take my time and keep rubbing to transfer a bit at a time until every detail arrived at their new home!

GOOD NEWS!!  Leaving a question or comment at the end of my posts just got easier.  I removed the verification code requirement (those annoying letters you have to type in)  to add a comment.  Typepad (my blogging platform) may occasionally require the code to sift out spam.  However, for the most part, leaving a comment or question should now be a breeze.

  1. This is very cool, Mary. I keep looking at it and am amazed at how trendy and professional it is! XO

  2. I need to make a pretty notebook for my food diary so that I want to write in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love this idea!

  3. Mary – Your space is already drop dead gorgeous. I can’t imagine changing a thing. You are too much!! Needing a change.

  4. I wanna see! If you have made major changes, do a post! I have been working on my (little) area and it’s getting there. Would love some ideas.

  5. We must be on the same wave length today as I was also working on organizing and using the label punch. 🙂

    Love this design.

  6. Hey, if your space isn’t pretty, it’s no fun to work in, right? I totally agree with you on the “essentials,” and you have definitely created something beautiful to work with! It must have been in the water at Leadership, because I’ve been doing a little prettying up in my spaces as well! (but I need to do some more work on time management for sure!)
