card tutorial: simple handmade friend card
1. measure & cut
portrait card base:
- Basic White Thick Cardstock: 4 1/8 x 11, scored at 5 1/2
snipped envelope flap:
- Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP): 5 3/4 x 2 1/2
layers (from bottom to top, before die-cutting):
- Basic White Cardstock: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
- Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper (gingham): 3/4 x 4 3/4
- Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper (floral): 2 3/4 x 4 3/4
- Basic White Cardstock (die-cuts): 3 x 4 1/2
- Basic White Cardstock (sentiment): 3 x 2
2. stamp:
- Use a Mini MISTI stamp tool to position and stamp the sentiment (Thankful Garden stamp set) in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto the Basic White card stock.
3. crop:
- Crop Basic White Cardstock with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) and the following dies:
- Bottom Layer: 3 7/8 x 5 1/4 Textured Notes Die
- Leaves: Thankful Garden Die
- Sentiment: 2 1/2 x 1 3/4 oval Framed Scenes Die
4. assemble & adhere:
- Adhere the Designer Series Paper to the rectangle with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Wrap with White 1/4″ Ribbon, securing with a bow. Adhere to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Adhere the Designer Series Paper with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Adhere the die-cut leaves as shown with Mini Glue Dots.
- Adhere the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
5. embellish:
- Embellish with three Garden Green Transparent Adhesive-Backed Dots.
6. envelope:
- Adhere the 5 3/4 x 2 1/2 Designer Series Paper to a Basic White Medium envelope flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Tip: Add glue to the flap, not the Designer Series Paper.
