card tutorial: positive & negative christmas card tutorial
1. measure & cut
portrait card base:
- Basic White Thick Cardstock: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4 (Qty 2)
layers:
- Pool Party Cardstock: 5 x 3 3/4 (Qty 2)
- Basic White Cardstock: 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 (Qty 2)
- Snowy Scenes Designer Series Paper: 4 x 3 (cut to show the snowflake) (Qty 1)
2. stamp:
- none
3. crop:
- Crop the “JOY” from the center of the Basic White layer with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) and the Stampin’ Up! Alphabet a La Mode dies and Stampin’ Up! One of a Kind dies secured in place with Post-It Tape.
4. assemble & adhere:
- Adhere the Pool Party layer to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Negative Card (left): Adhere the Designer Series Paper to both the Basic White die-cut layer and the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. TIP: Be sure to line up the snowflake from the Designer Series Paper with the negative space from the snowflake die-cut.
- Positive Card (right): Adhere the snowflake to the center of the Basic White Layer with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional. Adhere the J and the Y as shown with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
5. embellish:
- Add Coastal Cabana Ombre Matte Decorative Dots to the cards as shown.
