The art of mixing patterns is easy with the Stampin’ Up! Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper (DSP). The colors include a lovely blend of Calypso Coral, Lost Lagoon, Pebbled Path, Pool Party, and Wild Wheat. Including the envelope, I’m sharing four of the Softly Stippled patterns on today’s project. I added three Calypso Coral Opaque Faceted Gems (adhesive-backed and one of My Favorite Things) for a pop personality!

WHAT I LOVE! What could be easier than cropping these three patterns with the postage stamp die (Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage dies) and popping them up on a note card with Stampin’ Dimensionals? The postage stamp edge creates instant style and provides the perfect “groove” for anchoring linen thread. The Perennial Postage die collection of twelve dies made the list of My Favorite Things from the Spring Mini. Definitely a “must-have.”

CUT YOUR CARD STOCK – DIMENSIONS:
- Softly Stippled 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper:
- Die-Cut Layers (each design) -1 1/2 x 2 1/2 (before die-cutting)
- Envelope Flap – 5 3/8 x 2 3/4 (before die-cutting)
PROJECT TUTORIAL:
Begin by burnishing the fold of the Basic White Note Card with a Bone Folder.
Use a Clear Block H to stamp the sentiment (Happy Labels Stamp Set) in Pebbled Path Classic Ink directly onto the note card as shown.
Use a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) to crop the Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper layers (qty 3) with the 1 1/4 x 2 1/4 Perennial Postage die.
Adhere to the note card (starting with the center die-cut) as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals (placement at the top and bottom of the die-cut so that there’s room to push the linen thread through).
Wrap linen thread twice, taking advantage of the little grooves on the postage stamp and tie in a bow.
POP OF PERSONALITY! Embellish with three Calypso Coral Opaque Faceted Gems (adhesive-backed) as shown.
PERFECT POLISH! Adhere the Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper to the Basic White Note Card Envelope flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Crop with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard) and the Basic Borders Curved edge die.
