THINK SPRING! After 12 wonderful years in the warm sunshine of Tucson, AZ, my husband, Scott, and I moved back to our hometown of Madison, WI. We are so happy to be near family and long time friends, especially at the holidays.
However, the record cold temperatures in Madison have us slightly in shock (especially Christmas week) and camped by the fireplace. Ditto our fur babies! This week’s 40+ degree temps feel balmy. I was inspired to think “spring” with today’s card. It offers bold and fresh colors, one of five color combinations that I shared on Tuesday’s post.

CUT YOUR CARD STOCK – DIMENSIONS:
- Basic White Thick Card Stock:
- Card Base – 4 1/4 x 11. Scored at 5 1/2
- Bermuda Bay Card Stock:
- Layer – 3 3/4 x 5
- Die-Cut “Butterfly” – 1 x 3/4 or scrap (before cropping)
- Parakeet Party Card Stock:
- Die-Cut Layer – 3 1/4 x 4 1/2
- Die-Cut “Butterfly” – 1 3/4 x 1 or scrap (before cropping)
- Basic White Card Stock:
- Stamped Die-Cut Layer – 1 3/4 x 1 or scrap (before cropping)
- Die-cut Tag – 3 x 1 1/2 (before cropping)
- Vellum Card Stock:
- Die-cut Tag – 3 1/2 x 1 3/4(before cropping)
PROJECT TUTORIAL:
Burnish the score line of the card base with a Bone Folder.
Zip the Parakeet Party layer through a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard) along with the Stitched Greenery Die. What a WOW! factor!!!
Adhere the layers together with Stampin’ Seal and to the card base as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Use a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) and the Tailor Made Tags to crop the Vellum (3 5/16 x 1 7/16 tag) and Basic White (2 3/4 x 1 1/8 tag) layers.
Thread a piece of Parakeet Party In Color Baker’s Twine through the holes of each tag. Adhere together and to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then secure the twine with a bow.
Use a Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment in Bermuda Bay Classic Ink onto the Basic White layer as shown.
Crop with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) and the coordinating Sentiment Silhouette’s Dies.
Adhere as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Use a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini)and the “butterfly” (the gift bow dies flipped upside down) Sentiment Silhouette dies to crop the Bermuda Bay and Parakeet Party pieces.
Adhere together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and to the card with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
POP OF PERSONALITY! Embellish with a Pearl Basic Jewel.
