Today’s card was inspired by the fun, feminine pair of pajamas shown on this page of a Sundance Catalog.

Inspiration Used to Create a Buffalo Plaid Square Note Card with the Buffalo Check Background Stamp from Stampin' Up!STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:

Create a 4 1/4″ square card base of Whisper White Thick card stock using the Stampin’ Trimmer.  It cuts and scores!
Soft and pretty detail!  Adhere a 4″ square piece of vellum card stock to the card base using Snail Adhesive.  TIP:  Add adhesive to the area of the vellum that will be hidden behind the top layer to prevent the adhesive from showing through.

Crop two sprigs of vellum using the Sprig Punch from the 2018 Holiday Catalog.  Adhere to the back of a 2 7/8 x 3 3/4 piece of Basic Black card stock with Mini Glue Dots.
Use the Stamparatus to stamp the Buffalo Check in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto Blushing Bride card stock.  Note: For optimal coverage, you may need to stamp the Buffalo Check 2-3 times, which is easily done with the help of the Stamparatus.  Watch my video demonstration for tips!
With a Stampin’ Trimmer, trim the Buffalo Check card stock down to 2 5/8 x 3 1/2 (7 squares wide x 9 squares long, starting with a Blushing Bride square).  Adhere to the Basic Black (1/4″ larger) with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

  2. This is a fantastic color combination I consider it a classic. The addition of Vellum takes it up a notch. The sentiments are great too. I LOVE how you described how to use the squares instead of measurements to make the buffalo check the right size. TFS.
