This masculine note card was created with Best Route Designer Series Paper and is for a neighbor friend who is a pilot (check out the airplane pattern) and woodworker. He custom designed a beautiful cutting board out of a variety of woods for me as a gift for hosting a 4th of July cookout.
Best Route Designer Series Paper is part of the Stampin’ Up! Buy 3 Get 1 Free Designer Series Paper promotion. Ends July 31. See what’s on sale and get further details on the promotion here.
STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:
Start with Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Note Cards (5 x 3 1/2) and Envelopes.
Cut a 3 1/2 x 3 piece of Mango Melody card stock with the Stampin’ Trimmer. With Snail Adhesive, adhere the following sizes of Best Route Designer Series Paper (from left to right) to the Mango Melody piece: 3/4 x 2 3/4, 1 3/8 x 2 3/4, 1 x 2 3/4. Adhere Mango Melody layer to the note card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp “heartfelt thanks” from A Big Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Blueberry Bushel Ink on Whisper White card stock. A Big Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set is on the list of My Favorite Things from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog here.
Crop the sentiment using the rectangle die from Apron Builder Framelits Dies, the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine and the Magnetic Platform (to help keep the die in place). Add three Pineapple Punch adhesive dots from Best Route Enamel Shapes below the sentiment.
Create a 2 3/4 x 1/2 flagged piece with Mango Melody card stock and Paper Snips (for the flagged end). Adhere as shown to the patterned layer using Snail Adhesive.
Adhere sentiment to the flagged piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Crop hearts from Blueberry Bushel card stock using the Big Shot and heart dies from Apron Builder Framelits Dies. Adhere using Snail Adhesive (small heart) and a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional (large heart).
The final touch is adding a coordinating pattern to the flap of the note card envelope. The envelope liner die from Beautiful Layers Thinlits Dies is a near perfect fit to cover the outside envelope flap. Watch my WOW! video here (approximately the 4 1/2 minute mark) for details on how to cut the flap with the Big Shot and die.

I’m in love with this paper and the patterns you’ve created with it. Such great colors! <3
Honesty, you convinced me to try the paper! I’m so glad I did!
This is a great layout and I love the choice of sayings. Another clean and lovely looking card!
Thanks for stopping by, Stacy!
I love this cute card, Mary. As Kadie said, it is perfect for a pilot. I have a friend who travels a lot and I was thrilled when I saw this paper, which will be perfect for his birthday card. Yes, I love the brighter colors, too. Have a funtastic (a new word for me) day!
Thanks, HJ. I love the little hearts to reinforce “heartfelt!”
What a perfect card for a pilot. LOVE what you created my friend.
Thanks, Kadie. I love these colors for masculine cards – not too “subdued!”
