Today’s card was inspired by a pretty card in my Stampin’ Success demonstrator magazine using the Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest Photopolymer stamp set. The twist is that I changed the colors (originally Petal Pink, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Grapefruit Grove) using my Stampin’ Pretty Inspired by Color swatch below. STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:
Create a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base using Gray Granite card stock and the Stampin’ Trimmer. The trimmer cuts and scores. Layer and adhere a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Gorgeous Grape card stock to the card base using Snail Adhesive.
The rich and bold purple, Gorgeous Grape, is NEW as part of the 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up! Color Revamp. Learn more about the Color Revamp and new ink pad design here.
Cut a Gorgeous Grape stripe pattern from Brights 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to 1 1/4 wide and crop ends using the Tailored Tag Punch for a finished width (point to point) of approximately 3 7/8.
I used the Stampin’ Up! Stamparatus stamp positioning tool for best results for all stamping. Learn more about the benefits of using this stamp positioning tool on my video here.
Use the stripe piece created above (without adhering it) as a visual for placing (then removing) and stamping the leaf fronds (Painted Harvest Photopolymer Stamp Set) in Gray Granite on a 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 piece of Whisper White card stock. Adhere Whisper White layer to card base with Snail Adhesive. Wrap stripe piece with Whisper White Baker’s Twine and adhere to the card base as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp leaf images (Painted Harvest) in Basic Gray ink and crop with the coordinating Leaf Punch. Adhere leaf stem to the purple stripe piece with Snail Adhesive.
The largest flower image (on the left above) from Painted Harvest Photopolymer Stamp Set was inked in Gorgeous Grape and stamped off once on scratch paper before stamping on Whisper White card stock. This results in a lighter color for the outer petals.
The second, smaller flower image from Painted Harvest was lined up perfectly with the help of the Stamparatus and stamped (without stamping off) using Gorgeous Grape Ink. The flower center was stamped with Gray Granite ink.
Paper snip flower. Add a trio of self-adhesive Metallic Silver Pearls to the flower center and adhere the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the striped piece.
Stamp the “thank you” sentiment (Another Wonderful Year) In Basic Gray Ink on Whisper White card stock. Trim to 5/8″ high and crop ends using the Tailored Tag Punch to 2 7/8 wide. Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals over flower.
The final, polished touch is cropping a Gorgeous Grape polka dot pattern (Brights 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper) with the Big Shot and envelope liner die from Beautiful Layers Thinlits Dies. Adhere liner inside a Whisper White Medium Envelope using Snail Adhesive or an adhesive or your choice.

This card is just fantastic. I just love the gorgeous grape.color. Being from Kansas I have always thought of a yellow sunflower, but not any more and I have always loved polka dots. The painted Harvests is a great stamp set. With great sentiments. Thank you so much for sharing and giving me a new look for sunflowers.
Sometimes I just “go for it” when it comes to color. I love using colors in different ways. The purple felt modern and fun! Thanks for your comment, Sandi!

Thanks, Kadie. Since I moved to Arizona, purples have become more appealing to me. Must be the sunsets, right?
Wowzer! Leave it to you, Mary, to use a sunflower stamp with purple ink and it’s absolutely gorgeous! i love the DS paper and the design, of course, is brilliant.
