I created two of these simple baby boy cards in a snap! I love the Dapper Denim layers of the hot air balloon created with the Up & Away Thinlits dies. The ombre effect is created by cropping a Dapper Denim piece of Stampin’ Up! Color Theory 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper. Just one trip through the Big Shot for everything at once (except the heart)!
STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL:
Create a standard 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base with Dapper Denim card stock. Adhere a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece or Real Red card stock on top.
Stamp the sentiment from Home Life Photopolymer Stamp Set in Dapper Denim Ink on a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White card stock. Adhere to card base.
Layer Up & Away Thinlits Dies on a Dapper Denim ombre piece from Stampin’ Up! Color Theory 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper. Run through the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine with a Magnetic Platform to keep things in place.
Adhere balloon layers with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Wrap a piece of Dapper Denim Baker’s Twine around bottom of balloon and tie as shown.
Crop heart using Up & Away Thinlits Dies and Real Red card stock. Adhere with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

What colors did you use for the pink balloon? So cute!
Berry Burst and Whisper White. I’ll have more details for the “baby girl” card on tomorrow’s post.
I love the “deconstructed hot air balloon,” Mary! Such a sweet way to use these papers and this fun die! <3
Thanks, BK. My “pink” version will be tomorrow. I’m not sure which I enjoy more!
Great use of this die set and DSP for the ombré look. And I love that you used a set that I hadn’t considered for a baby card. Thanks for sharing all the details!
Absolutely, Amy. I think it would be equally cute in neutrals or pinks for a traditional baby girl card.
Simply said…….ADORABLE. Love the red heart on the balloon. Really makes it pop off the blue ombre balloon.
I think this card could go far beyond baby boy . . . essentially any congrats. Thanks for stopping, Kadie.
Very, very sweet!
Delighted to hear that, Susan!
I love this card… clean and simple yet high impact…
Thank you
The bonus is that is was so easy to use with the ombre paper, Bernice!
beautiful card!
Thanks, Joan. I thought it was fun and so easy to make.
Lovely card xx may need to case, great for girls and weddings too xx
Wonderful, Lin. I think it could be many other colors (range of shades for an ombre effect) or a splashy mix!
