The launch of the Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends Markers yesterday (details and tutorials here) inspired me to create this simple holiday card with Watercolor Christmas and the “Blends!” Learn more about Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers here (including tutorials).
I love hearing from you! Please leave me your questions or comments about the project for today.

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- I stamped three of the trees from Watercolor Christmas and “squared” them using my Big Shot, Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies (the smallest square) and my Big Shot Magnetic Platform to keep the die in place.

- Beautiful to blend! A touch of green is added to the trees using Stampin’ Blends Old Olive Dark and Light shades. See which Stampin’ Up! colors are available in the new Stampin’ Blends markers here.
- Each tree gets a unique personality using the heart, star and dots from Brights Enamel Dots (Real Red).

- I temporarily laid out the three tree squares and stamped the “oh joy” sentiment in the open space on the bottom right.

- Basic Black card stock was cropped to 3 1/4″ square and cropped again with a slightly smaller square from the Layering Squares Framelits dies. This produces a frame approx. 1/4″ wide.
- The frame was adhered and snipped on either side of the sentiment. Here’s my 1 Minute to WOW! Video sharing how to create this border using the Layering Squares Framelits Dies on another card.

- I adhered the tree squares with Stampin’ Dimensionals once the sentiment and border were in place.
- Luscious 1/8″ Real Red Solid Ribbon is the perfect touch add a pop of color and to finish the card.

Such a sweetie! I love this set, and I love your border trick. Great card, Mary!
Are you talking about my “sweetie” personality or the card, BK? LOL! Thanks for your kindness!
This card and this stamp set say classic simplicity. Beautifully done
Thanks for your daily comments and sunshine, Robbye!
Great card, great design. I love those stitched shapes. They work for so many different designs and you have a winner here!
If I could only have one die set for the Big Shot, Karren, it would be the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. After that, the layering framelits dies (squares, ovals, circles) since they all work together!
Super cute Mary. The words Oh Joy are perfect for this card!
I thought it tucked in pretty nicely, too, Beth!

Thanks so much, Maria, for your sweet thoughts. I love that little tree. The other trees in the set would work just as well (or even mix)!
