I typically prefer to use “love and hugs” when creating sympathy cards for good friends vs. something more formal. The Stampin’ Up! Ribbon of Courage Stamp Set and coordinating Support Ribbon Framelits Dies are a perfect fit.
I love hearing from you! Please leave me your questions or comments about the project for today.

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- I used the Layering Squares Framelits Dies to create a border that “intersects” the sentiment. I’ll share a 1 Minute to WOW! Video Tutorial with you tomorrow with tips!
- Such a versatile die set! The sweet flowers are from Support Ribbon Framelits Dies.
- Pick a contrasting bright color! A pop of Pumpkin Pie in the flower centers (1/2″ Circle Punch) and to the left of the sentiment (Brights Enamel Shapes) looks pretty but doesn’t overpower the Night of Navy.
- Yum! The Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon is the finishing touch.
- Stampin’ Up! Thick Whisper White Card Stock is a fabulous weight for the 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base.

Mary Love the idea of this Sympathy card. I’d be interested in knowing what sentiment you used inside the card
I left the interior blank, Colleen. However, you remind me that I could add something from the stamp set!
I too didn’t need this set until I saw your card. Now I do! The
sentiments are great. Then I went to Susan Itells blog and you
are both on the same page today. Same set with two very different
and beautiful cards. Thanks for the inspiration!
I fell in love with Susan’s card, too! Really shows the possibilities with these products. Thanks for leaving a comment, Wanda!
What a beautiful card, Mary! I didn’t NEED this set until I saw this card!
What sweet words, Mary Lou! You made my day!
I love, love, love the way the square and sentiment intersect. How clever! I, too, love the pops of orange on this very blue card. Such a sweet project!
Thanks, BK. I think Melon Mambo, Real Red, Crushed Curry would be great alternatives to Pumpkin Pie!
I have to say Mary…….You have BLOWN ME AWAY with that intersecting sentiment. BRILLIANT!!!!
I’m so glad you like it, Kadie. I’ll share a video (so easy to do) tomorrow!
