Today’s Simple Saturday sympathy card offers a soothing palette of Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Mint Macaron. I love the bold look of the Definitely Dahlia stamp.
A handcrafted sympathy card is such a heartfelt way to share our passion for paper crafting.
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- I paper snipped the dahlia (Definitely Dahlia stamp set) and popped it up on dimensionals for a 3-D effect. If you want to save time, you could stamp directly to the Very Vanilla layer.
- A soft and pretty stripe pattern from Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack (one of My Favorite Things) was added to the right side the card as well as the envelope liner.
- The sentiment is from You’ve Got This stamp set. It was stamped with Crumb Cake ink.
- The perfect touch is a Very Vanilla Classy Designer Button with a a bit of Linen Thread.

Simple yet beautiful; love those colors together.
Thanks, Deborah. Your comments mean so much!
So beautiful and would be so beautiful to send or receive in a very difficult time. Once again, you hit it out of the park! Thank you!!!
Thanks, Sherry. I love hitting it out of the park!
Just simply lovely!
Thanks, Jennifer. Big smile when I get a comment!
What an elegant card…made me fall in love with Mint Macaron! You have such a knack for color combinations…
Sandra . . . I feel just about any color goes with Crumb Cake so that is often my starting point. Thanks for your feedback!
Thank you so much for your comments today! Sympathy cards can be difficult to make. I hope this one inspired you!
Oh MsMary, that’s beautiful, love it all !
Hugs Frenchie,
The colors are soft and beautiful. This is such a genuinely sweet sympathy card.
Beautiful card Mary. The fact that someone takes the time to create a handmade card to express their sympathy and support means more than you might imagine.
Your hard work of using your paper snips to cut out the dahlia was well worth the effort. PERFECT sympathy card!
Such a lovely card Mary. This is one I will definitely try. Multiples of this one coming up. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
Thank you, Dorothy J. It’s an easy one to make, especially if you decide not to fussy cut the dahlia (but that is a nice 3-D touch).
Perfectly gorgeous. What a lovely color combination! They are soothing and beautiful at the same time.
Thanks, Brian, for your sweet feedback and helping make a few final decisions on this one!
