What, me water coloring with the Stampin’ Up! Gal stamp set? Yes, indeed! With a touch of ink and a Blender Pen, this pretty floral image is quick and easy to color.
This week’s Tall & Skinny Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO408) was the inspiration for my 6″ x 3 3/4″ card design!
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- I created a custom sized envelope using the Stampin’ Up! Envelope Punch Board and Neutrals Envelope Paper (one of My Favorite Things).
- The envelope sizing for a 6″ x 4″ card (measurements on the punch board) was the best fit for my 6″ x 3 3/4″ card.
- That touch of bling! I used Stampin’ Up! Rhinestone Basics Jewels for a little bling on the flower center and butterfly.
- The sentiment and butterfly (coordinates with the Bitty Butterfly Punch) are also from the Butterfly Basics stamp set above.
- The coordinating Old Olive script pattern is from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack (another one of My Favorite Things).
ARE YOU WATER COLORING “PHOBIC” LIKE ME? I’ll share a 1 Minute to WOW! Video Tutorial with you tomorrow to demonstrate how easy it can be with the Butterfly Basics stamp set!
I love hearing from you! Please leave me your questions or comments about the project for today.

The flower is stamped not cut, Lora. There are thinlits that coordinate with this stamp set but it’s for the butterflies (Butterflies Thinlits Dies #137360)
Mary, did you fussy cut the flower or is there a thinlet that goes with this set? Thanks.
With green being my favorite color, this card really caught my eye in the gallery! Gorgeous!
Thanks, Wanda. I’m a big fan of green, especially Old Olive (with that hint of yellow)
beautiful card! it is always such a treat to visit your blog to see your new creations!
Thank you so much, Wanda and Kelly. It’s a treat to receive your kind comments!
Thanks so much, Carol. You are always welcome to tap me on the shoulder to say hello. Sorry I missed you!
First I want to congratulate you on all of the awards you received – loved seeing you walk across that stage and saw you walking down the halls deep in conversation with your buds! LOVE your card….wow….fabulous – TFS!
Hi Mary
I no longer have a deminstrator.
I found out when I logged on.
I live in Maryland, I was wondering do I have to have a deminstrator that also lives in MD, or can I use you?
Hi Kelly: Most of my customers live nationwide and I’m happy to help. I’ll drop you an email with more details! Mary
A very clean and classy card, Mary. I love the simple touch of color and twine. I purchased the Aqua Painters last Spring and love the ease and results I get. You really must try them.
I’ll confess to owning the Aqua Painters and coveting the watercolor results I see. However, I love just zipping along with my Blender Pens.
Oh, Carol! You are so sweet. I think the Painted Blooms DSP will be wonderful as an alternative!
I loved this so much that I had to run right up to my craft room to CASE it! I don’t have the new DSP, so I used the green leaves from last year’s Painted Blooms DSP and it turned out so pretty. Thanks for all your wonderful ideas.
This is fast becoming one of my favorite sets. So versatile. Love the colors.
Such a dreamy card, Mary!
I just finished the video. I simply used a Blender Pen and Old Olive Ink to watercolor. Couldn’t get much easier!
This card is absolutely beautiful! I’m anxious to see your video tomorrow as well.
Mary, thus card is beautiful. I can not believe you are not a pro at watercoloring. I your work is so beautiful. I am waiting for your video tomorrow. Have a great stamping day. Hugs, Ellen Hinds
