Simple cards can make a big statement. Ā Today’s note card (Stampin’ Up! Note Cards & Envelopes) took less than 10 minutes to create and packs a WOW! factor.
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- My vases (Vivid Vases single stamp) were heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Ā So sophisticated against a Whisper White background.
- A single Real Red heart (Hearts Border Punch) is all the “pop” that’s needed.
- The image layer was cropped and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals for a pretty white on white 3-D effect.
- It’s a snap! Ā The final touch was cropping the Gold Fancy Designer Vellum Foil with the coordinating Stampin’ Up! Envelope Liners Framelits Die and tucked into the envelope. Ā The liners dies (3 in the set) are designed for the perfect fit with Stampin’ Up! Square Envelopes, Note Cards and Medium Envelopes.

Thanks Mary!!!
Hi Janet: I used tiny bits of Liquid Multipurpose Glue (applied with a paper piercing tool) on the backside of the gold hearts. That way the glue is hidden š

Loving the classic elegance of this card! So pretty! I have a question. Since you used vellum for the sweet envelop liner how did you adhere it? I love vellum but I struggle with how to adhere it without the adhesive showing. Thanks for being such a source of inspiration and knowledge!!!
Thats music to my ears, Elizabeth. Thanks!
Thanks, Gerri! Even gold on basic black would be pretty!
Mary,
This gold embossing is BEAUTIFUL!! Gives an elegant look to this stamp set. Thanks for sharing.
Mary, thank you for this and other beautiful samples. Elizabeth Kent
great point, Kimberly. I think the easiest ways to do this would be to either just ink up and emboss the vases and flowers OR just layer another sentiment (with Stampin Dimensionals) over youre a whole lot of wonderful!
Thanks for popping in, Bobbi!
Love this card. The gold embossing is such a classy look. Could be a great and easy silver or gold anniversary card. Just change the sentiment.
What a sweet and simple card!!! I have been overwhelmed with life lately so not seeing all blog posts, but sure happy I didn’t miss this one!!!
Thanks, Marlene. Simple embossing can go another direction, too. Think about Calypso Coral embossed on Early Espresso, for example (with still a Real Red heart).
It would be an easy set to make a group of note cards and give as a gift. Thanks, Pam!
Thanks, Patricia. I hadnt planned a card for today and this popped in my head as something simple pretty to share!
What an honor! Thank you, Debra!
Thanks, Kadie. You beat me in getting up this a.m. 5:08 a.m. here.
