Happy New Year! Mixed metals are so on trend right now. I’m seeing jewelry, home d?cor and fabric exquisitely marrying silver, gold, bronze, copper and more. Paper crafting is no exception. Today’s card mixes Stampin’ Up! Gold Foil and Silver Foil while showing off a few sneak peeks of the Occasions Catalog (starts Jan. 3).
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- SNEAK PEEK: The Gold Foil bookmark was created using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. It crops the curvy top as well as the opening for the Whisper White 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon.
- SNEAK PEEK: That yummy gold stripe background is from Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum, available Jan. 3 as part of the Occasions Catalog.
- SNEAK PEEK: One of the new Word Bubbles Framelits Dies (also available Jan. 3) gave the sentiment a new swagger!
- I heat embossed the tree (silver) and sentiment set (gold) using the Warmth & Wonder hostess rewards stamp set (Wood-Mount or Clear-Mount).
- I used the one of the Stampin’ Up! Envelope Liners Framelits Dies (one of my favorite new Stampin’ Up! products of 2013) to crop the envelope liner. What was your favorite paper crafting product of 2013? Please leave me a comment below!

Fabulous Mary! I have most of the gold items and now must order the silver ones…love what you did with this card and love mixing the colors! Our foil papers are fabulous to work with – hope they keep them and give us more colors!
Now this is classy! I never would have thought of a gold foil bookmark, but it is a great idea.
Great card, Mary! Favorite product? Hard to pick just one. Love the coordinating dies and punches.
Warmest wishes to you and yours for much happiness and continued success in the New Year!

Happy New Year! A very pretty card. I love all the layering. The Frost Finish Embellishment is the perfect addition. The polka dot envelope liner just perfect too.
I’m humming the Burl Ives’ song “Silver and Gold!” : )
Thanks for all your inspiration…all the best to you in 2014.
So glad you enjoyed the card and gift certificate, Barb. Your hubby is so thoughtful . . . every year!
Love every single thing about this card. Such WOW FACTOR! Thanks for sharing Mary. PS-Barb was one lucky gal!
I was the lucky one to receive this beautiful card. It was a christmas gift from my hubby and you can’t see that there was an oval on the tag when you pulled the tag out that told of my gift certificate to Stamin’ Up. Two beautiful gifts…one from Mary the creator of the card and a gift certificate from my hubby. Love it! Barb M
