Woo Hoo! Birthday Card

Stampin up stampinup order pretty woo hoo birthday cake punch catalog card ideas
This mix of Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose and Whisper White reminds me of neopolitan ice cream.  Delish!

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • The Stampin’ Up! “Woo Hoo” single stamp makes a statement and leaves a crisp impression.  I used my snips to crop the frame and popped it up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

  • The pink layers of the cake were paper pieced in–a simple change that brings the stamp to life.
  • A Glue Dot keeps the center of the bow in place.

  1. I love pink used with neutrals like these browns. I will definitely be getting the stamps you mentioned. Your cards and those of your Stampin Pretty Pals are so inspiring.

  2. Oh Mary, that is so delightful- and yea, it reminds me of the ice cream too. Brilliant stamp, I only wish we could get it here in Australia.

  3. Love the card, Mary…It’s pretty, pretty, pretty! Okay, now I have my CASE for Terri’s box of cards which I’ve just started.

  4. Sweet Mary! I love this and had forgotten I wanted to order this stamp! I forgot about the single stamp assosrtments. Ummm, might have to make a little pistachio cake slice instead for St. Patrick’s Day/Birthday cards! Hope you are feeling better – that flu stuff can be nasty!

  5. I love that you paper pieced the cake. It’s so small so I never would have thought to do that. You’re so clever.

  6. I can see this stamp looking really cute using the chalkboard technique and coloring in the cake with pink or blue watercolor pencils. I love what you did with it! Thanks for the inspiration!

  7. How fun, Mary. You always find a way to pull out the best in an image and give us a new way to look at it. I love this one!

  8. Oh, I love this card, Mary, especially how you colored the cake on the stamp to match the background! This stamp didn’t register with me at all when I first saw it. Thanks for more enabling! LOL

  9. Amazing how much that tiny snipped out pink piece of cake adds! You always add a sweet little detail like that somewhere!

  10. ooh pretty , the cake looks good , I could easily have a slice of that !! like now !!!
    lol !! love it
    have a nice weekend ,
    hugs frenchie
ps hope your filling mush better ,

  11. Mary, what do you mean by “the pink layers of the cake were paper pierced in”? Awesome card!

  12. The border wasn’t too bad to snip with my Paper Snips. I like to leave a little bit of white . . . more forgiving that way!

  13. You seriously paper snipped the entire border? You rock! Great fun and festive card. Thanks for sharing!

  14. Super cute, Mary! And it does look like Neapolitan ice cream! Love that you colored in just that bit of cake.

  15. Well Mary, this card really brings Neopolitan ice cream to mind. Regal Rose is my favorite shade of pink and it looks really yummy next to Chocolate Chip cardstock. I love the stamp too, you really don’t need any other sentiment, this one says it all.
