Stampin’ Up! Birthday Card Cupcakes

I love the combination of colors in today’s card.  Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, So Saffon and Calypso Coral are bold with a retro spin.  The yummy cupcakes fall into place perfectly for today’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO237).  It’s one of my own sketches this week . . . woo hoo!  I hope it inspires you!Mojo237Sketch
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • The beauty of the Stampin’ Up! Cupcake Builder Punch and Create a Cupcake rubber stamp set is that there are plenty of options for you to create a unique “personalty” for each cupcake!

  • I bumped up the “frosting” (Stampin’ Dimensionals) for the second cupcake from the right for added visual interest.
  • The touch of zigzag was produced using the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die and my Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine.
  • The little cherry on the sentiment was cropped with the Cupcake Builder Punch.

  • A trio of hearts unifies the card and Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake Medium Envelope.

  1. Hi Mary,
I love the card also but am wondering what adhesive you used… I understand the bit about the dimensionals but what did you use to adhere the cherry etc.?

  2. Sorry, Mary. I hadn’t used the set in a while before I wrote that. I see that the bow is part of the set.

    Sorry for the trouble.

  3. I adore this card, Mary. Great, quick card for kids birthdays and I have plenty of those we go to! Question: How did you do the bow on the one cupcake? Is it drawn on?

  5. Mary, I am back to admire this card again 🙂 and I have a question…can you flag the ends with any size square punch or do you change depending on the size of your piece to flag? Some of my flagging looks a little wonky and I’m wondering if that’s what I need to pay more attention to. Thanks!
