They are never easy. However, the comfort a handmade sympathy card offers means so much more. Sorry, Hallmark! This simple card incorporates one of my favorite looks–Whisper White embossed card stock layered over a Whisper White card base. It's beautiful for weddings, too.
DON'T MISS details on the new Stampin' Up! Love Filled Promotion below! Starts Dec. 17.
STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
-
The Stampin' Up! Word Play stamp set gets excellent mileage. I love the mix of fonts and bold look.
- Get your brads to line up at attention. I use a Paper Piercing Tool and the Stampin' Up! Mat Pack Piercing Template to pop in perfectly spaced holes.
- Layering two Whisper White layers for the sentiment gives a elegant faux embossed look, especially with the combined 3-D effect of Stampin' Dimensionals.

WOW!!Very elegant I really love it thanks for sharing.
Beautiful, Mary! I am making a collection of cards for my sister’s Christmas gift. This card definitely gives me an idea for a sympathy card. Thanks for the inspiration!
Never easy, but unavoidable. What a classic and thoughtful way to express sumpathy.
I am just getting ready to make some more sympathy cards (lately it seems I have been sending quite a few of them) and your idea couldn’t have come at a better time. I even used your easy buttons on the side of your blog to check out the other sympathy card ideas. Thank you so much for sharing – wonderful ideas.
Choosing colors for sympathy cards are my biggest stumbling block. It’s a thin line between using sullen colors and inappropriate cheery colors. Whisper White seems a nice middle ground — great idea!
