Welcome to another Mojo Monday challenge (MOJO168). This birthday card was designed for my niece's husband. It has a good, masculine vibe but still a touch of amusement!
Need to see more masculine cards? Check out my Stampin' Pretty blog's left side bar under "Samples By Theme," hit the "masculine" button and scroll to your heart's content. I'm so excited about this new organization style for my samples.
Are you game to try Julee Tilman's mojo sketch this week?
Sometimes I take it for granted that "everyone" knows how to use a Paper Piercing Tool and Mat to line up brads. However, I remember when the light bulb went on for me, quite by accident really. The days of eyeballing brad placement are over!
My latest 1 Minute to "WOW" Video Tutorial will help you get your silver "soldiers" standing at attention.
STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
- To give the sentiment a vintage touch, I rubbed VersaMark Ink on the Curly Label edges.
- Punch up a quick background using circle punches. A 1/2" and 3/4" Circle Punch were used for the right panel. I used a 1" Circle Punch for the half circle detail above the sentiment.
- Coordinating Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake Medium Envelopes (107297) will be the final step in getting this card ready to deliver.
SNEAK PEEKS CONTINUE. Inquiring minds want to know . . . I plan to have plenty of Occasions Mini and Sale-A-Bration samples ready to satisfy your curiosity over the next few weeks. The Mini starts Jan. 4 and Sale-A-Bration on Jan. 25.

Mary, as always, a fabulous card. I have saved everyone of your video’s in “my favorites” as they are all so informative. I look foward to your ideas every morning over coffee. Thanks for that.
Love your masculine card and video. I love ‘light bulb’ moments. lol Hugs,
You are getting so PRO at these videos, Mary! Love it! So helpful.
Very nice video. Thanks
Fabulous masculine card! I had to double check the DSP. Such a perfect mix of colors and patterns!
Great masculine card. You’ve got stripes, circles, scallops but it isn’t too much. Amazing that you can do that! Loved the video too!
I love the colors on this, Mary! A perfect Mojo card that got me going on mine today! XOXO
Stampin’ Up! used to sell a Crafter’s Tool Kit that included both the mat pack, paper piercer and other crafting tools (needles, eyelet setter). When that was discontinued, Stampin’ Up! made the Mat Pack and Paper Piercing Tool individual items that could be purchased separately. Much more practical and affordable that way.
Hugs, M
Love the card! I can think of a couple of females who love those colors and who would love the card as well! I use the paper piercer thing too but it still helps to get the paper straight to start with! I have a few that are perfectly straight but at a slight alant! Thanks for sharing it with us. Love the paper and I missed seeing it in the catalog.

Nice touch with the versamark – I never think of versamrark for antiquing but what a nice effect.
Awesome idea! I never thought of doing it that way.
They don’t sell that kit anymore though…do they?
what handy little tools – both your wow video and the paper piercing set! my shopping list is growing!
I love the masculine card! Stampin’ Up has so many foofoo things but you have no trouble creating cards for the men in your life! Love it! Thanks for sharing!
Not only did you have a WOW video, you made a WOW card! LOVE IT!
Love the vintage look on the curly label – versamark ink is incredible!
Brilliant! I am forever fretting about multiple brads turning out slightly wonky! Thanks for sharing!
