October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and time to pay tribute to victims and survivors of this relentless disease. As many of you know, I lost my beloved sister-in-law, Karol, earlier this year to breast cancer. I cherish the time I was able to witness her humor and generosity. She is deeply missed.
Two additional women in my family have survived the disease. They will each receive one of my "pink" Halloween cards. We all know someone who has been affected. Be smart. Early detection is key to fighting breast cancer.
Today's Mojo Monday sketch will get the creative juices flowing. Perhaps you want to take your project for a "pink" spin this week, too?
STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
- My owl silhouette was inspired by a card my fellow demonstrator T Huggins created for a swap (her version being in more traditional Halloween colors). She also notes it's not her original idea.
- Punches were the superstars for the owl, stem (Two-Step Bird Punch), bat and "moon." Even the sentiment shaped up with two oval punches.
- Blushing Bride card stock took a trip through my Big Shot inside the Spider Web Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (Holiday Mini Catalog). Very pretty in pink.
- I love the Blushing Bride Candy Cane Button (Big Designer Buttons, Holiday Mini Catalog). Super sized button holes made it a dream to criss cross with Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon.
TODAY IS THE LAST DAY FOR TWO AMAZING SPECIALS!! There's still time for last minute decisions . . .
