Simple Saturday for Austin

Stampin up word play birthday card boy
I needed a lively birthday card (and still plenty "grown up") for my grandnephew, Austin.  The simple and bold colors and pattern of this card should do the trick!

  • Stampin up word play birthday card star punch I previously made a similar card (click here).  The job was even quicker this time with the use of two Stampin' Up! large circle punches (2 1/2" and 1 3/4")
  • Basic Gray, Real Red and Pumpkin Pie.  The Stampin' Up! Color Coach directed me to this modern and masculine color scheme (under Basic Gray combinations).  The "coach" is one of my best creative buddies.
  • DID YOU KNOW that unless otherwise noted, my cards (including this one) are sized to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"?

  1. Nice job! I can always use some fresh ideas when it comes to “guy” cards. They are the hardest for me to make!

  2. great color combo… just may have to break down and purchase the new one.
also, thanks for highlighting that big circle punch. kind of shows me just how big it is! I may be getting one of those too!

  3. What a fun card! Oh, I really like the idea of the big circle punch….I like how you used it. I like the design and it would work so well with other colors. Thanks so much for showing it. Love the matting and the details!
