PPA14 In the Pink (New Video)

Stampin up pals paper arts heard from the heart

RUN, DON'T WALK to the Pals Paper Arts "In the Pink" Challenge (PPA14).  We are giving away over $100 in pink Stampin' Up! BLOG CANDY to participants in the challenge as a tribute to my sister-in-law, Karol Harris and my sister, Laurie Balousek, both having faced breast cancer with courage and determination.  Our goal is to honor all those affected by breast cancer and raise awareness among our virtual stamping friends and beyond.  Click here for PPA14 blog candy details.

Is ribbon tying you up in knots?  You asked for it!  Click my new video below on "Tying a Pretty Knot" (used for both these projects).

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:

  • Stampin up heart to heart punch The triple heart in Stampin' Up!'s Love Your Much stamp set coordinates with the Heart to Heart Punch.  I adhered the resulting hearts as a background on my "Kindness" card.
  • No need to be timid.  Mixing different shades of the same color (in this case pink) creates a jazzy pizzazz.  Try it with greens, too.  Very cool.
  • Stamping the same color ink on the same color card stock products a soft and pretty look.
  • Sneak Peek:  The "love" sentiment on the Matchbox is from the Tiny Tags stamp set.  It will be available in January, 2010.

  1. Love the video Mary. BTW, I’m from Boston so I can really appreciate the “cuts like budda” reference. In fact I thought I heard you say that you loved those “scissas”. You’re not a New England transplant are you?

Hi Jeanette: I’m chuckling. I’m not a New England transplant. I was born and raised in Madison, WI and just moved to Tucson this past summer. I loved watching SNL so that’s where the reference comes from. Hugs, M
