Hooray! It's Thursday and the Pals Paper Arts inspiration samples and challenge are up! This week's challenge is all about color . . . Ruby Red, Crushed Curry and Brocade Blue. They seem to be getting along famously in this star-crazy card. Click here for PPA6 details and play along.
STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
- Stampin' Up!'s Movers and Shapers Dies are pretty slick (p. 201 of the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog). You can move magnetic pieces (approx. 2 5/16" x 2 7/16") anywhere on a open XL die.
- Zip it through a Big Shot Die Cut Machine and a window is cut exactly where you added the magnetic piece. You can even cut and score an entire card (plus add a window shape) in one move! Delightful for big jobs!
- I used Crushed Curry card stock and cut the Movers and Shapers star window.
- The Mover's and Shapers Dies coordinate with Stampin' Up! Punches. The Curly Label Movers and Shapers Die–comes with the XL Die. The Star, Modern Label, Full Heart and Scallop Oval are sold separately. They are sized slightly larger than the similar punch. Very cool for layering with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Hi Mary—
I drop in on your website regularly for inspiration, and you never cease to amaze!! I thought you might be the best one to ask whether the Movers & Shapers die can be used in my Cuttlebug? –I am thinking about the investment, but it would obviously have to work with my old die cutter. Also, can the ‘float’ shapes be cut independently of the whole card? Thanks for your help, Lisa
Hi Lisa:
I no longer have my Cuttlebug (I’m a full-time Big Shot girl) to test this. However, I contacted Stampin’ Up! and was advised that the Bigz XL Dies do NOT work in the Cuttlebug. Hugs, M
This card is awesome!

Oh, Mary, I love your card! Clean, simple, and my favorite part–how the colors pop against the white!!! Just beautiful, as usual!

You’re right Mary, these colors go together fabulously! This would make a great birthday card!
