Introducing the Embosslit

Stampin up bella toile sweetest stem embosslit

I'm not sure if you have met.  Let me proudly introduce you to one of Stampin' Up!'s exclusive Embosslit designs, Sweetest Stem (p. 202, #114513, $11.95).  It coordinates beautifully with the Sweet Stem stamp set (p. 99, #113726).  Both items became available to customers yesterday, with the release of Stampin' Up!'s Spring/Summer 2009 Catalog (now available by download on my right side bar or click here to order a catalog).

So what is an Embosslit and how will it make my stamping and scraping time divine?  Each Embosslit die measures 2 1/4 x 2 1/2".  It includes both a positive and negative image for simultaneous cutting and embossing.  Embosslits cut through card stock and Designer Series paper.

Simply place card stock inside the Embosslit.

Fold it over and place it on the Big Shot Multipurpose Platform Tab 1.  Leave Tab 1 open, as shown. Standard Cutting Pads will be at the very top and bottom of this "sandwich."

Zip your "sandwich" through the Big Shot Die Cut Machine.

Perfectly cut and embossed.  Pat yourself on the back for a job well done!

TIP:  I used the Embosslit with my Big Shot Die Cut Machine, Standard Cutting Pads and the Multipurpose Platform (all come with the Stampin' Up!'s Big Shot).  Embosslits likely will work with other die cut machines (for example, the Cuttlebug).  However, adjustments may need to be made to create the right pressure.  Please contact alternate die cut machine manufacturers before use.

Hmmmm . . .  what was my inspiration for this card :)?  TIP:   I love discovering fresh ideas in fashion and home d?cor catalogs.  This fabric set the stage for my black embossing on chocolate background.  The color Chocolate Chip was inspired by this week's challenge on my downline blog.
