I haven't done a masculine card in awhile. With some of the men in my family having birthdays in the near future, I decided to get crackin' on my "man card" stash. Click and scroll for more masculine card ideas.
STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
-
A repeat pattern in rich greens and blues works beautifully for a "handsome" look. I used the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die and a Big Shot Die-Cut Machine to create the strips.
- Itty bitty, cutie patootie. The Stampin' Up! Silver Mini Brads are divine! Need help lining up your brads? Watch my 1 Minute to WOW Video Tutorial!
- Popping up "Happy Birthday" in a different color gives the sentiment snappy style.
- My artistic inspiration was bedding I saw while strolling through Crate and Barrel home store.

Hi Mary, I really like this card! I was wondering though, did you leave out a color of card stock from your supply list? It looks like there are three shades of green but only two listed. Maybe it’s just my eyes, lol.
I love this. Makes me wanna go get that die… thanks for making it look so great and versitile!
Colorful yet clean, this is a great masculine card, even with the ruffled ribbon you added to the side of the sentiment! He’ll never even notice LOL! Love the color combo as well.
Oh Mary, I absolutely love this card. The colors are just fabulous too! Hugs,
Mary — This is the push to use that Tasteful Trim die that’s just sitting there. Very clever card — a nice Friday boost.
Great masculine card, Mary! Love the scalloped strips. I’m always looking for masculine card ideas ’cause I have lots of guys in my family.
What a cool inspiration photo for your card! I love the color combination…perfect for a masculine card!

Love, Love, Love this card! GREAT color combo!! I can’t believe I didn’t notice this stamp set, but I’ll remember it for my next order ;o)
Very nice! I need to use my Tasteful Trims die more often. It really rocks this card!
Your ideas come from the most interesting of places! Great use of color. The Tasteful Trim die is going on my next order.
LOVE your inspiration, too! The card is perfect for anyone!
Good morning, Mary: It’s always hard to make cards for men. They have to be pretty but without ribbons and bows and to much cuteness. This is a great card, everything about it is elegant and simple and right for a guy.
My grandson turned 11 yesterday and, believe it or not, I had a hard time making a card even for him. He is into football and race cars and I knew I couldn’t make him something with kitties or litte mice so, I used “The Open Sea” stamp set to make a card for him and it was a hit!!
Thank you for always inspiring all of us with your wonderful ideas and great color combinations. I think I will order the “Color Coach” because I often have a hard time choosing what colors go well with other colors.
Maria.
Love the colors and the inspiration photo and your blog!
Hi Mary !
Love the way you use everyday items and catalogue layouts to inspire your choice of colour themes. I look forward to your posts everyday !!
Marianne
I love this card! Very cool and nicely masculine. Love the trim and how you popped part of the sentiment. And, of course, the colors, too!
Beautiful card, Mary.
Happy Friday. Hugs to you.
Mary, I love what you do with that Tasteful Trim die! And the “inspiration cards” are my favorite 🙂 Great take on the bedding and awesome card! Have a great weekend 🙂
