SNEAK PEEK ALERT! Notice a new look for the Owl? It’s part of the Warmest Wishes stamp set, a new hostess stamp option in the Holiday Mini Catalog (available Sept. 1). I’ll be sharing lots more holiday sneek peeks throughout August . . . including samples using our new Simply Scored Scoring Tool (also available Sept. 1)!
What fun it was to dress up a candy bar for Halloween in this snappy 3-D wrap! Susan Dyas, my fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, shared this “sweet” idea with me at our Convention this past July. I immediately thought of Halloween. Visit Susan’s blog for complete details and more creative ideas.
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- To create candy bar wrap, cut card stock to 2 3/4″ x 10 1/4″ (a long skinny piece).
- Score at 5″ and 5 1/4″. Flip 90 degrees and score 1/4″ on both the long sides. SO easy with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool.
- I used my Paper Snips to cut a tiny tab at the center of the 1/4″ section, each side. This is ultimately the base of the candy bar. Cutting this tab (on both sides) makes assembly easier.
- Sticky Strip is THE best way to keep 3-D projects together.
Susan, Mike Funke and I capture the moment together at Convention.
Here’s a close up of Susan’s version using Flower Fest stamp set.

I love the owl! I’m so in love with my owl from saleabration, now I want this one. Of course I’m having a party next week, now I’ll need to have another this fall also. Can’t pass up on the owl. Love the candy bar idea. Am definitely going to give this one a try.
Great adaptation! What is more perfect for Halloween than a candy wrapper! And the style of the wrapper is a blank canvas for just about anything! How about white chocolate for a wedding!? 😉

Soooo cute. I love Halloween, so I’m hooked by everything spooky and cutesie for that time of the year. And then there’s candy underneath. Woo Hoo!
Hi, I love you owl candy wrapper way cute!
Good morning, Mary: Ohhhh!! that little owl is just to cute holding his treat bag. Great idea for Halloween that, amazingly enough, is just a little over 2 1/2 months away.
Maria.
Great idea! Maybe if I wrap all of my chocolate bars I won’t want to eat them? 🙂
Pretty! This is perfect for the Halloween, bet the kids would love this. The owl looks really cute. I remember I’ve made such last year but it was a hunted house. This would be a great idea to try.
