I combined 1/2” x 2 7/8” strips of all 10 of the Stampin’ Up! Brights Color Collection to create a dynamic color block element on today’s card. Have you noticed the Stampin’ Up! card sketches on page 22 in the new 2024-2025 Annual Catalog. You can find versions of the sketches throughout the catalog, too. Today’s card was inspired by this one.

CUT YOUR CARD STOCK – DIMENSIONS:
- Coastal Cabana Card Stock:
- Card Base – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4
- Basic Black Card Stock:
- Layer -5 1/4 x 4
- Basic White Card Stock:
- Layer – 4 1/2 x 1/2
- Stamped & Punched Sentiment – 4 x 3 (before punching)
- Brights Family Card Stock (see colors below):
- Strips – 1/2 x 3 (before trimming)
PROJECT TUTORIAL:
Burnish the fold of the Coastal Cabana card base with a Bone Folder.
Layer and adhere the Basic White and Basic Black layers together and to the card base as shown with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Adhere the 1/2″ strips of color (Poppy Parade, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, Azure Afternoon, and Berry Burst) to a 5 x 2 7/8 piece of card stock (any color, it will be covered).
Flip to the back side and use a Paper Trimmer to trim the strips down to 2 7/8 to line up with the 5 x 2 7/8 layer. This gives a crisp edge if you’re a wee bit off in lining them up.
Wrap the blocked layer with black Baker’s Twine Essentials, securing with a bow.
Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Use a Mini MISTI stamp tool to stamp the outline and the sentiment (Labeled with Love stamp set) in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto the 4 x 3 Basic White layer.
Slide the stamped sentiment layer into the coordinating Labeled with Love Punch to crop.
Adhere to the card as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
