Pals Blog Hop: Create Your Own Plaid Love Card!

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is “Love Is In The Air.” We hope that you will be inspired by the creations the Pals are sharing with you! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Create this Love Card using the Sketched Plaid Background and various Stampin' Up! Dies. Mary Fish, Stampin' Pretty

The Stampin’ Up! Sketched Plaid Background stamp gives you to the “power” create your own plaid in any color ink on any color of card stock. YES! Or consider stamping it twice (the second time slightly left or right) in a second color for a multi-color plaid!

2 MINUTE TECHNIQUE TIP: I used one of the dies from the Stampin’ Up! Elegant Borders dies to customize the envelope flap. If you line it up just enough above the bottom (and centered) to crop all the way across the flap, you’ll still leave plenty of envelope adhesive below (or you can add wee bit if needed). Make sure the open area of the die detail is not at the ends of the envelope flap if you want the flap to feel finished.

CUT YOUR CARD STOCK – DIMENSIONS:

  • Very Vanilla Thick Card Stock:
    • Card Base – 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2
  • Basic Black Card Stock:
    • Sentiment – 4 x 3 (before punching)
    • Die-Cut Banner – 2 3/4 x 3 (before die-cutting)
  • Coastal Cabana Card Stock:
    • Stamped Plaid Layer – 4 x 5 (then trimmed to 3 1/4 x 4 1/2)
    • Die-Cut “Love” Drop Shadow – 2 x 2 (before die-cutting)
  • Very Vanilla Card Stock:
    • Die-Cut Heart – 2 1/4 x 2 1/2 (before die-cutting)
    • Die-Cut “Love: – 2 x 2 (before die-cutting)
