Yes, the song “We All Live in a Yellow Submarine” is still running through my head after creating this adorable card with the Stampin’ Up! Submarine Life stamp set and builder punch (bundle the two and save 10%). Isn’t it sweet? What a delight to stamp and crop the submarine, propeller and little telescope! Five adhesive backed black Sparkle Gems add bling and “bubbles!”
WHAT I LOVE! Scallops are key elements in unifying the design of this Submarine Life card. I used a scalloped rectangle (2nd to largest die from Scalloped Contours Dies), scalloped oval behind the sentiment (Double Oval Punch) and black background wave (“negative space” of a scallop die from Excellent Eggs Dies). The final “wavy” touch was using the “back” of the curved die from Around the Bend dies on the envelope flap. Love it with the stripe (Bee Mine Designer Series Paper).

PROJECT TUTORIAL:
Begin by burnishing the fold of the Basic White Thick card base with a Bone Folder.
Adhere the Designer Series Paper and Daffodil Delight Card Stock to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Use a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard) to crop the Basic Black largest piece with the 3 1/8 x 3 1/2 Scalloped Contours Die and the 2 5/8 x 1/2 piece with the Excellent Eggs Wave die (1/4″ high at the peak of the wave).
Adhere the 2 5/8 x 3 15/16 Basic White piece to the large Basic Black scalloped die-cut layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Adhere the wave piece to the Basic White as shown with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Use a Clear Block D to stamp the sentiment (Submarine Life Stamp Set) in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto the right side of the Basic White piece. This puts the sentiment closer to the edge of the card stock so it’s an easy “reach” for the punch.
Crop with the Double Oval Punch. Repeat for the Basic Black piece. WOW TIP! Save card stock by cutting strips to slide through the side of the Double Oval Punch! See this tip in action with my WOW! 101 Slide Show!
Adhere together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and to the card as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Use a Clear Block D to stamp the submarine in Daffodil Delight Classic Ink and the propeller and telescope in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto the Basic White card stock.
Crop with the coordinating Submarine Life Builder Punch.
Adhere as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
POP OF PERSONALITY! Embellish with 5 Black Sparkle gems (4 small and 1 large) as shown.
PERFECT POLISH! Adhere the 5 3/4 x 2 1/4 Designer Series Paper (DSP) to the Basic White Medium envelope flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. IMPORTANT: Add glue to the flap first, not the DSP. Center, line up, tape to secure (Post-It Tape) and crop with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard) and the back of the Around the Bend border die.
