A Simple & Fresh Sympathy Card Idea

Sharing a handcrafted sympathy card with someone who needs support can mean so much.  I’m fond of using fresh colors that will evoke happiness and hope.

WHAT I LOVE! The Coastal Cabana tone on tone texture created with the Gorgeous Gardens Dies is a showstopper.  It looks like uber rich embossing!  So chic!

MY STAMPIN’ PRETTY PROJECT TUTORIAL

CUT YOUR CARD STOCK – DIMENSIONS:

• Basic White Thick Card Stock:
  • Card Base – 4 1/4 x 11 – scored at 5 1/2
  • Die-Cut – 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 (before die-cutting)
• Misty Moonlight Card Stock:
  • Layer – 3 3/4 x 5
  • Stamped/Die-Cut Sentiment – 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 (before die-cutting)
• Coastal Cabana Card Stock:
  • Die-Cut Floral – 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 (before die-cutting)
  • Layer – 4 x 5 1/4
• Misty Moonlight Neutrals 6 × 6 Designer Series Paper:
  • Envelope Flap – 5 3/4 x 2 1/4

PROJECT TUTORIAL:.

Burnish the folds of the Basic White Thick card base with a Bone Folder.

Adhere the Coastal Cabana 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 layer to an Adhesive Sheet.

Crop with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard) and the Gorgeous Garden die.

Remove the adhesive backing and adhere to the 4 x 5 1/2 piece of Coastal Cabana card stock.

Use a Paper Trimmer to cut down to 3 1/2 x 4 3/4.

Adhere to the Misty Moonlight layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Wrap with Misty Moonlight 3/8″ Inner Braid Ribbon, securing with a bow as shown.

Crop the 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 piece of Basic White Thick card stock with the All That circle die.

Use a Paper Trimmer to cut 1/4 inch off the circle die-cut.

Adhere to the card as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Rub the 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 piece of Misty Moonlight card stock with an Embossing Buddy (Embossing Additions Tool Kit).

Use a Clear Block C to stamp the sentiment (Charming Sentiments) in Versamark Ink onto the Misty Moonlight card stock. Cover with white Basics Embossing Powder. Tap to remove the excess. Set with a Heat Tool.

Crop with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) and the coordinating Sentiment Silhouette die.

Adhere as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

POP OF PERSONALITY! Embellish with Coastal Cabana Ombre Matte Decorative Dots.

PERFECT POLISH!  Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the Designer Series Paper to the outside flap of a Basic White Medium Envelope.  You can see my video demonstration with tips on adding designer paper to an envelope flap here.
