One more really fabulous thing about 3 x 3 cards is that they fit neatly along with the 3 x 3 envelopes in Stampin’ Up! Mini Pizza Boxes. What a lovely little gift to give a friend or host! In addition to the Grapefruit Grove version of this 3 x 3 card I shared in yesterday’s post, I finished up my collection with the balance of cards the new 2018-2020 In Colors.
Original details for the 3 x 3 card are here. I again used Stampin’ Up! 2018-2020 In Color 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper, In Color 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon and the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set.
TIP: The Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set “multi-tasks” for so many occasions. I love how beautifully many of the sentiments coordinate with the Stampin’ Up! Classic Label Punch. Create a template as shown and layer over the case cover (images are 100%) to see what fits!
Here’s a video I shared previously on how to use the Classic Label Punch to create a flagged end (approx. the 2:27 mark).
STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL:
Adhere to a Mini Pizza Box with Snail Adhesive a 3 1/8 square polka dot pattern (Blueberry Bushel) from 2018-2020 In Color 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper.
Create a 9 3/4 x 1 1/8 belly band using the Stampin’ Trimmer. Score at 1 1/4, 2 1/4, 5 7/8 and 6 7/8. Adhere ends below where the daisy will be placed.
Wrap Blueberry Bushel 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon around belly band and tie in a bow.
Punch two daisies using the Stampin’ Up! Daisy Punch and Whisper White card stock. Adhere together with Snail Adhesive. Crop a flower center using Blueberry Bushel card stock, the Big Shot and a stitched circle die from Stitched Labels Framelits Dies. Adhere with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
Stamp “a little hello” (Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set) in Blueberry Bushel Ink on Whisper White card stock. Crop with a die from Stitched Labels Framelits Dies, the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine and Big Shot Magnetic Platform (to keep the die in place over the stamped image). Adhere to flower center using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

You do realize sending these 3×3 cards requires extra postage, right? Any square card requires extra postage.
Hi Barbara: Thanks for your comment. 3 x 3 cards cannot be mailed at all since they do not meet the minimum size for USPS. I like using them for gifts or presentation in person. You are correct that square cards that meet the minimum USPS requirements DO require extra postage. I use a non-machinable stamp (I believe $.68) on all my standard (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) cards as well since they have bumps and potentially hard objects. Mary
I am so sad to see these in colors retiring….
I really like this set of cards, but the pizza box packaging just makes the whole thing extra special! Love these!
Thanks, Amy. There’s nothing like the classic and modern look of a daisy!
What an adorable idea. My sister is always saying she needs thank you cards and this idea would definitely work for that. It would make a nice gift for her. I love it Mary
it’s the perfect sign of gratitude and easy to create, Robbye!
Mary these cards are adorable! What a special way to put a smile on someone’s face!
You put a smile on MY face with this lovely comment, Cindy!
I think these little pizza boxes are the VERY BEST……But you my friend…..Have taken this project OVER THE TOP. it is filled to the brim with cuteness and smiles. May I CASE this project for an upcoming door prize gift?
It would be a BIG honor for you to CASE, Kadie. Thanks!
Such a fun idea, Mary! What a great showcase of these new colors!
3 x 3’s make such cutie patooties! Thanks, BK!
The fun box makes a wonderful set with a set of the cutest cards from yesterday. Love the belly band. Who wouldn’t love to receive a box of these cards? Have a great day, Mary.
Thanks so much, HJ. I often give these little “packages” to friends who host get togethers!
Adorable tutorial! Love, love, love the tip for the label punches!
You can do that with many other punches, too, Mary. Not all images on the covers are 100% to scale so make sure you are comparing apples. You can do the check sizing with with the actual stamp or most images in the catalog are 100% (if not noted otherwise).
Adorable, just adorable!
Thanks, Susan. I hadn’t had the Daisy Punch out in awhile and it seems so happy on the box!
