I have a really simple card for you today created with images from the Stampin’ Up! Sheltering Tree stamp set (on the list of My Favorite Things from the Occasions Catalog). The stamps are photopolymer (clear) so that placement and layering the leaves on the tree is a snap! See more Stampin’ Up! photopolymer stamps.
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- For a modern spin, I used Lost Lagoon vs. traditional green leaves.
- Oh how I was waiting for the perfect opportunity to share that little stitched button from Sweet Dreams Designer Buttons.
- Off setting the sentiment and adding 3-D with Stampin’ Dimensionals gives the card a boost of “architecture.”
- Measurements: Card Base 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. Soft Suede layer 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″. Whisper White layer 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″. Sentiment layer 5/8″ x 4 1/2″.

Magnifique carte. Merci.
Mary,
Do you ever have trouble with a middle section in the “leaves” portion of this stamp set not stamping correctly. Mine is acting very strange with an oval shape top to bottom on the left side. The stamp is just not making contact with the paper no matter how I rub or press down hard on the set.
Any suggestions?
Are you using the Stamparatus? I find it helps with better contact (be sure to press evenly across the stamp) and you can restamp in the same spot if an image needs more ink.
So simple, soft and lovely, Mary…..love CAS card ideas!
Thanks, Becky. I made this card in minimal time–possibly a good thing because it turned out clean and simple–my favorite kind of card.
Mary, Cutest card ever. I love love love the cute button with bow…gives this card it’s charm. Thanks for being so talented. Hugs, Becky
Thanks, Betty. This is my favorite style and Im thrilled others enjoy it, too!
Mary, this card is the precise reason I love following you! This is my favorite style of card, and you always have the best color combinations. Thanks for sharing your creativity with a serial copy cat!
What a gorgeous card, the Lost Lagoon and Soft Suede works so well together. I think this is a great stamp set and I love using buttons as embellishment.
Sheltering Tree was on my list of Favorite Things from the Occasions Catalog! So versatile. http://www.stampinpretty.com/my-favorite-10-5-things-from-the-occasions-catalog.html
Thanks for your comments. The entire set of Sweet Dreams Designer Buttons is adorable and versatile–just the thing to accent a simple card.
Just think, Liz, about the possibilities by simply changing the color (green leaves, fall leaf colors, even pinks for spring) and sentiment.
Such a beautiful card and the colors go so well together.
Stitched button is the perfect addition to this card.
I love this card. The offset tree and the lost lagoon are fabulous. I definitely see a CASE coming up!
Oh! Love the side placement! I’m placing an order this evening and this set is on the list. LOVE it! Lovely card!
Good morning! I love the off center/partial tree and the beautiful button. Your talent is endless.
