I admit I was a “hold out” on diving into the Stampin’ Up! Paper Pumpkin Monthly Kits when they were first introduced. However, when I saw the February and March kits at Leadership this past January, I was an instant convert. The value and WOW! factor of the kits are WAY up. Such a fun fix and the finished projects are ones you’ll be excited to share. Learn more about Paper Pumpkin monthly kits HERE!
I made the gift bag above (one of five) with the February Paper Pumpkin kit. Everything is included except adhesive. This gift is for my daughter, Caroline, a college sophomore, who works part time, is a teaching assistant for her honors professor and manages to get good grades on top of all that. “Proud” barely scratches the surface of how much I admire the industrious woman she has become. What’s inside will be the focus of my post tomorrow!
The gift bag took less than 10 minutes to create and there are plenty more letters to say what you want on the additional four bags included in the kit. The Stampin’ Up! video above gives you a nice snapshot of how simple the process is for whipping up these gift bags.
AND PAPER PUMPKIN CONTINUES TO WOW! Here’s a Stampin’ Up! video peek at the March Paper Pumpkin Kit. Where’s the LOVE button, please! I adore those wood cut sentiments!

MY STAMPIN STUDIO UPDATE. I finally have new lighting in my studio which I love. I stuck with undercabinet tape light in a much brighter version than before. I still have a few more details to wrap up but am about 95% done. Here is more information and a conversation on my Stampin’ Pretty Facebook Page. Be sure to “like” me! I plan to share some shorter videos of key organizational ideas soon and, once I have a chance to “live in the space” a bit, I’ll do a full tour. Sound like a plan?
This particular chair was from Officemax. I purchased it over 4 years ago. Im getting a new swivel chair for the desk (desk height) that will coordinate with a stool for the task area (counter height)
I have been looking for a swivel chair with a back like the one in your studio. Where did you get that chair?? The studio looks beyond awesome!!
Hi Rosemary: Yes, we moved to a home with less yard, no pool and less responsibility. We plan to travel to explore and travel our passions more. Im building a new studio, that is nearly done. In my opinion, its even more organized and easier to work in than the last one. Ill be showing more soon . . . and my husband still isnt allowed any tools! M
What happened to your beautiful loft stamping room?
I saw how much work went into that place and how your husband was only allowed to put up the Bygel rods from Ikea (I ordered 3 of those rods on Amazon after seeing how well they held your punches).
Did you move? Can you tell I am not always on the net and into people’s lives? The longer I am online the less I am crafting.
Your new room looks cute. A bit claustrophobic for me, but it is really cute.
Gorgeous!!! Now I will be expecting to see lots more fabulous things coming out of that new crafting space : }. I just love your blog, and I have so much fun taking your ideas and putting my own unique twist on them. You color schemes are always so eye catching. Thanks Mary for all your inspiration. Hugs, Candy
Hi Stacey: Im still finishing up my new Stampin Studio and will be putting together photos, videos, etc. . . . however, I need everything in place before doing that 🙂 Just got the lighting in this week so there have been some delays. You are seeing my former space on my side bar buttons. Lots of info there in the meantime! Hugs, M
Ooo, MsMary , yes I bet you two are so proud of her , well she has the best parents ,
So happy for you all !!!
And love your space , yes I’m thinking about the pumpkin kit …..
Ok , hugs to you ,
And happy stampin ….
Frenchie ,
Mary, somewhere I think I am missing something, the studio tour and cabinet installation under my studio and the studio picture you posted look like two different rooms. Did you update your update? I am in the process of updating my craft room and have stalled at the ordering the cabinets and countertop, I love the picture you posted recently and was wondering where you ordered those cabinets came from.
Stacey
Droooling…… here…. gorgeous and beautiful and looks so functional. Especially like your ink/refill/marker storage. Great inspiration for updating mine.
Lovely bag too.
Lovely and so functional. Everything within sight and reach. This will make projects a real joy to create. You work hard…what a nice reward and it will no doubt motivate you to work even harder!
Hah . . . I thought you were asking if I had named the studio. LOL. Sorry I didnt name it after you 🙂 M
Thank you Mary. (I was kidding when I said I should have my name(Ellen Hinds) on your room. Hugs,
Thank you for the information Your studio looks amazing. Ellen Hinds
Hi Ellen: Thank you for your feedback. The three black mats are just desk pads from Office Max 🙂 They arent designed for cutting but help keep the counters clean and provide a wee bit of a cushion for stamping. My new space is simply called My Stampin Studio (might even make a good blog name–and will be soon). M
I have yet to do the Paper Pumpkin because I’d rather buy what I actually want than to pay for something that is a ‘surprise’ and then not really like it. I realize SU has revamped it somewhat but I’m still not on that band wagon.
I REALLY LOVE your new stampin’ room Mary! I’m with Jan Ross as I thought your other studio was to die for but this new one is just so beautiful! Congrats again on your new studio Mary! You definitely deserve and you have definitely earned it! 🙂
Dear Mary, What a beautiful craft room. you deserve a great studio so you can create great cards, and projects for you and for all of us. We are so lucky we are your personal guest into your studio. I have a question for you The three black pads that are at your three stations, what are they and where can you buy them.
I also have another question. Where is my name for your new room. (LOL) I am only kidding. Good luck on this beautiful room. Congratulations to Caroline on her hard work and great success. Hugs, Ellen Hinds
Hi Karren: Im in the studio practically 24/7. Im at a desk on the left–LOL. Ill try and get a photo of my hanging out there! Hugs, M
I love the bag you made for your daughter! Your room looks great. I’m looking forward to seeing videos on it!! I love the storage for the ink pads, markers and re-inkers. I have one too!
CONGRATS to Caroline for her amazing grades….but for also pulling off a part time job with her honors professor. GREAT WORK Caroline! Can only image how proud you and Scott must be of her. Sure she’s going to LOVE her gift bag. Thanks for sharing.
What a beautiful space to create your cards! Can’t wait for the full tour! Thanks for sharing your cards and ideas. You are an inspiration to all!
Mary I thought your other craft room was to die for, but this is just over the top. Love the colors, lighting, concealed everything, and the narrow but perfectly ample spacing between the two walls. You are entitled to a bonus my lady, as you have exceeded all expectations!
Your craft room is amazing. It’s only missing one thing – YOU – creating more beautiful things to decorate our lives. I would love a tour and I like you on FB every time I see you there!
WOW what a nice craft room.
Mary, a full tour video of your stamping place sounds like a fabulous plan to me, I can use some good ideas about organization, no matter how much I try to keep my craft room neat and organized, sometimes it’s a bit messy, specially when I’m in there working on projects. One of the items in yours that I really love is the case where you keep your ink pads, markers and re inkers, that looks amazing.
Thank you for the up date.
