I wanted to put together a lovely collection for you of handmade cards I received from friends over the holidays.  Not only are they essence of holiday cheer, the ideas and layouts can be transformed into year round cards.

  1. thanks, Lisa. T, for sharing!

  2. Hi Donna,

There is no tutorial on the card but it’s a very simple card to make. I cut an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of cherry cobbler in half, folded that in half and then ripped one end of the paper. Before sealing the sides with 2 sided sticky tape to create a pocket card, I added the cherry cobbler ribbon. I embossed the saying, then added the Season of Style DSP (ripped at one end) and used framelits to cut the circles (non su). I used the Winter Wonderland set for the image and stamped/embossed it on white using the crumb cake ink pad. I used a paper crimper on thin strips I cut out of old olive and crumb cake for the pocket. I then cut a small piece of white paper for the saying and used the curly label punch at the top of the paper.

  3. Hi Beth
I used one of my favorite stamp sets, Lovely as a Tree and stamped it with Smoky Slate. I also used the Illuminate Ink and my stamp a ma jig and stamped it a second time and a third with Craft White ink (offset slightly to give a shadowed looked). I used a piece of sponge with White Craft Ink and with a light touch, in circular motions, created the snowy ground (adding depth with layers of ink) and misty/foggy sky. Added some white gel pen dots for the falling snow. Sounds like a lot of steps, but really a quick card to replicate. Thanks for the comment!

  4. Love the card made by Lisa Tooman….and specs or tuts on it?

  5. What products and techniques did Kim Lampone use to make the beautiful soft tree card, including the falling snow. I wish there was a stamp that just stamped snowflakes.

  7. The Peace word is from a favorite old stamp. It is a PSX (Personal Stamp Exchange) #E-1214, Santa Rosa, CA, with a date of 1999 on it 🙂 The rest is computer generated.
