Mojo 254 Halloween Tricky Treats Card

Today’s Halloween card combines the adorable patterns from Stampin’ Up! Howlstooth and Scaringbone Designer Series Paper (one of My Top 10 Favorites from the Holiday Catalog) and a new Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO254).

  • EEEEEK!  That handsome little spider from Tricky Treats stamp set was heat embossed in black for a delicious shine!  Googly eyes (Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog, p. 27) add a wiggly, 3-D pop!

  • The spider’s hat was heat embossed separately in Tangerine Tango Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  I clipped it with my Paper Snips and pieced it in place.   He looks so dapper!
  • The flagged end was created in a flash using a 1 3/8″ Square Punch.  Watch my previously posted video to learn how.

  • A bold, coordinating polka dot pattern (Howlstooth and Scaringbone) was added to the Very Vanilla envelope flap.

  1. FINALLY! Some one using Tricky Treats. I loved this stamp set and am excited to see a super cute sample! Thanks loads!

  2. Mary, this is adorable!! You did a beautiful job with the sketch along with your choices of DSP. Great layers and love this stamp set. It’s going on my wish list now. It’s so cute this card.

  3. Too cute, Mary! Love that little spider…Halloween is such fun and we use things we would not use at any other time of year…such creative fun!

  4. Those googly eyes are soo cute!! Great papers and take on the sketch. Always enjoy your clean, crisp style 🙂

  5. Hi Kadie: I really like working with the Stampin’ Up! 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain. It’s easier to tie than our previous grosgrain . . . less futzing makes me a happy stamper! Thanks to all for your kind comments! Hugs, Mary

  6. LOVE everything about this card Mary. I have to admit that I haven’t purchased the Basic Gray 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon YET. It is now on my “MUST GET LIST”. Thanks for sharing girlfriend!
