This week’s Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge (PPA173) provided the design essentials for getting my 4 x 4 “Halloween Hello” card off the ground.  Check out what the PPA Resident Artists have come up with using the sketch below and PLAY ALONG!

  • The bats and “bats about you” sentiment from “Halloween Hello” were heat embossed with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  I’m batty over the shiny finish.

This adorable Halloween Treat broom will sweep you off your feet!  It
was demonstrated to my Southwest Stampers group (this is the one I
made) at last month’s meeting by my dear friend, Kadie Labadie (more
details on Kadie’s Blog).

The handle is black licorice packaged in a Stampin’ Up! 1 x 8 Cello Bag
and coffee filters evolved into the bristles.  The
“bewitching” tag uses the Stampin’ Up! Halloween Hello stamp set that I used on my card.

NEW “BITE ME” HALLOWEEN PHOTOPOLYMER (CLEAR) STAMP SET!  Stampin’ Up! has just introduced a photopolymer stamp set to give you even more options for Halloween cards and treats.  I love that darling kitty!   See all Stampin’ Up! Photopolymer (Clear) Stamp Sets.

  5. Good Morning Mary, Yes, Yes, Yes, those embossed bats are the best. They are the shiniest embossings I have every seen. I tried your tip/hint/One Minute to WOW about the envelope liners and it worked perfectly! I have always been an “envelope decorator” and this is great.

  6. ADORABLE Halloween card Mary. LOVE all the DSP flags – but my FAVORITE is the embossing of the two bats. AWESOME! Thanks for sharing my witches broom – Oh so fun to see on your blog.

Beautifully cute card Mary, I think I will CASE it, this sketches from the PPA are always great for those days when I can’t come up with a layout.
