Today’s card and post are a heartfelt tribute to a member of my Stampin’ Pretty Pals Community, Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Maggie Mata. Maggie is currently serving in the U.S. military in Kyrgyzstan. Her commitment and bravery are the essence of what the 4th of July means to me.
It warms my heart to see Maggie continuing to create beautiful handmade cards and share her love for Stampin’ Up! on the other side of the world. See what Maggie’s making on her MaggieMadeCards blog, HERE.
I used this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO298) for Maggie’s card.
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- Stellar!
I inked up the Simply Stars stamp set from the new Stampin’ Up! 2013-2014 Annual Catalog. The stars were easy to snip with Paper Snips (although I’m going to keep wishing for star framelits) and stand proudly at attention
when popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Those sweet little Cherry Cobbler flagged ends are so easy to crop with the Stampin’ Up! Bitty Banners Framelits and my Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine!
- Love that sweet little brad on the star? It’s a Cherry Cobbler Candy Dot adhered to a Candy Dot coordinating brad base. Watch my 1 Minute to WOW! Video: Meet Candy Dots for a full introduction!
