Simple Saturday Merry Christmas Card

Stampin up stampinup christmas holiday card ideas catalog punch
I hope everyone survived Black Friday and those that ventured out scored amazing deals.  My family and I stayed far away from the crowds, leaving the comfort of home only to attend a movie (our tradition).  For a little weekend fun, please be sure to participate in my Black Friday Stampin’ Up! Blog Candy Giveaway.  It closes Sunday, Nov. 25 at 6:00 p.m. central time.

I whipped up a Merry Christmas card for you today.  For those of you who are running short on time to create your handmade cards this season, it may be the perfect fit.  You can easily change the patterned paper.

  • This card is defined by the flocking pattern (Stampin’ Up! Candlelight Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper) so the rest of the elements are kept simple.

  • The red flocking is on a window sheet.  It produces a rich shine and allows you to layer it over any color. I loved it layered over Pool Party but it would look amazing over greens, grays . . . experiment!

  • A simple Designer Printed Brad (also in Pool Party) dresses up the black polka dot ribbon.
  • I used a 3/16″ Corner Punch to add a few quick curves.

  4. Mary,
My friend and I, (both your customers) are getting together to make our Christmas cards on Dec. 8th. I’ve been collecting ideas from your posts and gallery. This one is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

  5. Mary, I absolutely love that background. It reminds me so much of wall paper in an old house that my sister owned. Thanks for sharing this beautiful card with us.

  6. I LOVE it! It’s clean & simple yet elegant. Thanks for the great idea for a quicker card that will make a great impression.
