Stampin’ Up! Card for the Birthday Girl

Stampin up stampinup stamp it card idea punch birthday catalog

Today’s card is fun and youthful–perfect for my niece’s birthday.  The combination of Summer Starfruit, Primrose Petals and Basic Gray are retro-licious!

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • Try using the outline of a punched piece rather than the
punched piece itself.  It can be so striking layered over a contrasting color!

  • A Stampin’ Up! In Color Dahlia that coordinates with the Primrose Petals card stock adds a subtle 3-D effect.
  • HOT PROMOTION!  The luscious Primrose Petals 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon can be yours FREE during the Stampin’ Up! Back to Spool Special.  Ends Sept. 30.  See additional details below!
  • I use a square punch (pretty much any size) to crop my flagged ends.  Check out my Stampin’ Pretty Video Tutorial to learn how.

  2. Hi Mary….I know you have had a crazy week and I want to thank you for continuing to post your beautiful projects while you were away. Congrats on being chosen for the advisory board. WOW!!! Your idea of using the square punch is genius. So glad to be working with you again. You are a wonderful role model for us all. Hugs 🙂

  3. I know that I have a lot of company who don’t care for the Summer Starfruit…but have to say that your putting it with Basic Gray and the Primrose Petals really changes it to a more liveable color. Your niece will love her card!

  4. SOoooo worth the wait!! I just LOVE the color combo!!! That was a funnier tease than your sneak-peaks :o) Hope your niece enjoys it as much as your followers do.

  5. Mary…..Leave it to YOU to go GREEN in our stamping rooms. BRILLIANT IDEA Girlfriend to use the out-lined piece rather than the cut-out piece. WELL DONE MARY – LOVE your card!

  11. Good Morning Mary,
I know it is very early for you. Your trip looked fantastic!! FYI there was no post or picture with today’s email, Nicole’s Birthday Card. I am sure once you have your coffee (ahhhh!) you will notice this, but I thought I’d give you a head’s up. Hope you don’t mind. I adore your site and have inspired me beyond words. Nancy
