One of the questions I have been asked regularly since the release of the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog is how to make the beautiful paper ornament featured on the cover. Katy McGloin, a member of my Stampin' Pretty Pals and today's guest stamper took it upon herself to give it a try and sent me one of her sensational versions.
COOL TIP: Unlike the cover creation, Katy saved time by using Stampin' Up! Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper (126896) instead of stamps and ink.
Remember Katy's incredible holiday box from a previous guest stamper gig? Well, Katy listened to your suggestion back then and has started a blog to share her incredible papercrafting. She'll spill all the details for today's ornament above along with her own tutorial and tips. CLICK TO HEAD TO KATY'S NEW BLOG.
In case you like to look at engineering from different angles, here are the PDF directions I received from Stampin' Up! for the cover ornament and the ornaments on page 3.

Beautiful Katy! You are one of the most talented stumpers I have ever met! Thank you for sharing her ornament Mary!
Hi Deb: I just tried the links and they worked. The two resources from Stampin’ Up! are pdf files and not links. They may take a second to download. Please try again — or if anyone else is having problems opening the links or pdf files, let me know. Hugs, Mary
Thank you for sharing this with us. It is a beauty. Thanks Katie for all your hard work.
Great, Thanks!!! Katy’s instructions are so much better than the ones Stampin Up sent out.
I tried to open the links you posted for the directions, and it won’t take me there. Did anyone else have a problem?
Fantastic way to make the ornament really special! Thanks for sharing!
