Stampin up demonstrator card ideaSTAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:

  • I dusted off my Color Spritzer Tool and love the stunning, painterly effects it offers.  Question #1:  Why don't I get this tool out more often?
  • Question #2:  Why did it take me so long to use my Stampin' Up! Blue Denim Ribbon?  This was my "maiden voyage" with it and it's a delight to work with.  Gorgeous with Night of Navy.
  • You can crop the card front flap to any size you want.  I first stamped the Just Believe stems on the right in order to gauge how much to remove from the card front.  I cropped this card at 2 3/4".
  • A few Night of Navy Designer Buttons (Regals Designer Buttons) add texture and charm.  I'm a stickler for a finished look and added White Baker's Twine so they look stitched.

One of the really cool Stampin' Up! demonstrator achievement events is attending Founder's Circle.  Those attending swapped their "best stuff" and the layout of my card was inspired by the beautiful card below, designed by fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Colleen Magness.

  17. Lovely design! Can’t wait to try it myself. Elegant looking as usual; your designs never disappoint. TFS!

  18. Hi Teri:

I find short, firm squeezes give me a good outcome with the spritzer. I use the spritzer and a Stampin’ Write Marker. No re-inker involved. I always try it a couple times on scratch paper first until it’s giving me the results I want. Thanks so much for your sweet words!

    Hugs, Mary

  19. Hi Mary: Thanks so much. Yes, it’s a standard A2 card (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″). The card front is cropped to 2 3/4″ but that can be adjusted depending on how much you want to show of the card area below! Hugs, M

  20. Nice use of the blue ribbon denim. Really adds polish to your beautiful card. TFS!

  21. Wow! Love this card and love the technique of cropping the card front like that! Is it a standard A2 size???? Can’t wait to CASE yours!

  22. Love the crisp navy and white – and the fold is neat!

  23. Gorgeous, love the cropping idea and the overall look could be picked out of a crowd, a trademark Stampin’ Pretty card, love it!

  24. Hello Mary!!
You did it again!! As a sister demonstrator, you’ve made me want to case this card, and buy all of the ingredients.
I have been wanted to get the denim ribbon since it showed up in the IB&C… and now look…. 🙂
My color spritzer doesn’t always work so good. Do you use a re-inker prior to using?
