My favorite candy is a toss up between the little round hard candy with the raspberry filling and the other is something called sponge candy or angel kiss candy. That is very hard to find now. The inside looks sort of like a sponge and it has a chocolate coating. It is hard though. I had found a recipe when I was in high school and thought I would try and make it. I think I was barred from the kitchen for awhile after that! It has baking soda and vinegar and it foamed up and over the pan on the burners and then harded on there before I could get it wiped up!
Hope you had a good Thanksgiving. Love your blog!
I like the peppermint hershey kisses – yummy — white chocolate and peppermint
My fave is the Peppermint Bark. Only available at the holidays. YUM!

I think my favorite holiday candy is not really a candy after all. They are called (by my family) poor-man’s turtles. They are made with a pretzel, a Rolo and a pecan half. I love these, especially straight from the freezer. I can suck on one and make it last for at least 10 minutes!

Everything decked out in Xmas lights and trees, snowflakes and the smell of wood burning on the fires. Thanks, I haven’t thought of that memory in awhile.
Hands down … it’s got to be fudge. The recipe was handed down from my mother who made big batches every Christmas. Her recipe required lots of beating, and it brings back so many wonderful memories of taking my turn, along with my sisters, beating the candy until it was just right.

Hard to choose just one! We have a tradition of opening and sharing a box of See’s chocolates on Christmas Eve. It’s always great to oo and ah when you pick your favorite, but it’s almost more fun to complain dramatically when you don’t and pick another chocolate from the box. So the short answer is See’s chocolates!

Obviously your blog candy is the best in the non-fattening category! I think my favorite candy would be homemade caramels. Favorite cookie would be coconut macaroons. But I have a very soft place in my heart (or stomach) for FRUITCAKE! At one point in my life I was living in a shack in the mountains and getting very little to eat. At Christmas time someone gave me a fruitcake (probably because they didn’t want it ;-), and it never tasted so good before. Ever since then eating fruitcake fills me with a warm Christmas spirit. So, if anyone has a fruitcake they don’t want….. 🙂
Anything with Peanut Butter in it. that goes for all year long!

A good friend of mine taught me how to make a holiday candy called “Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Balls”. Using almond bark, and a nifty little wire tool that her late husband made just for me. He actually made me two of them so I can have help making the candies. The candies are wonderful to eat, and the memories warm my heart each Christmas as I make them for my family and other good friends to enjoy at this most wonderful time of the year. Plus, I love making gift boxes with my Stampin Up supplies for a perfect package to put the perfect gift in. Merry Christmas to everyone!

My favorite Christmas candy was always peppermint straws (hard outside with soft mint centers) but haven’t found them in recent years. It isn’t Christmas without ribbon candy. I like the really thin candy in spearmint. Brings back memories of childhood Christmases when I got my cowgirl suit or the year I got my metal doll house. Smile, smile, smile. Those were the days when an orange in your stocking was heaven. Imagine, an orange in the middle of winter. LOL I’m showing my age.
I like candy canes…They remind me of Christmas!!!
There are just so many to choose from, but my favorite holiday candy has to be fudge. I know it’s around all year long, but I just let myself have it at Christmas time. Thanks for offering the blog candy and for your wonderful creativity each and every day.

Gotta love the homemade peanut brittle that makes the rounds in our circle of family and friends this time of year — it doesn’t sound like holiday candy, but we make and give away so much of it (and can you imagine EAT?) that it’s known as “Christmas Crack”!!! Love your blog and the chance for some non-caloric “candy”!
Ummm, your Blog Candy looks delicious!! My favorite edible Christmas Candy would be my sister’s No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Drops. She only makes them at Christmas and my children (all over the age of 30!) and I look forward to eating it every year.
Homemade caramels. Totally sinful! Kudos to you again Mary for such creativity and sharing.

I absolutely love the peppermint stick M&M’s. They are sooooo good! I also really love rice crispy treats….technically they aren’t really a holiday candy, but in my house they are a must have Christmas treat!

Wishing everyone a Happy Holiday Season!!!
Hi Mary, My favorite holiday candy is called Buckeyes–peanut butter with chocolate. Delicious and fun to make. They look just like a buckeye–the fruit of the horse chestnut family.
Thanks for your endless hard work!
I love the old fashioned Divinity that my Mom and Grandmother used to make. White and fluffy, looks like clouds.
I enjoy your site. Thankyou!

I love the good old candy cane. Crossing my fingers to win the blog candy… would love to have all that awesome stuff.
Oh, I agree with a previous commenter who said BLOG CANDY is her favorite candy! (I suppose that has the potential to be available all year)
Actually, I go crazy for Hersheyettes (like M&Ms, only made by Hershey) that are available here at Christmas time. Can’t go in to Target without getting a tube (topped by candy cane curve piece) between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Mary: Would it be Christmas without fudge? I love all the different types of fudge and honestly-about the only time I eat it…..Is at Christmas time (lucky me!).
Hope you enjoy the holdiays in sunny Arizona-Life is Good!
Homemade anise candy canes..There is a candy store in my Oshkosh WI that only makes these at Christmas time. Can’t wait to go and get mine.
Merry Christmas
So many of the various manufacturers add dark chocolate or mint flavors to their line up this time of year and almost any of those get my vote. On the other hand Harry & David put out some of their most scrumptious treats this time of year – truffles, Moose Munch and more…impossible to pass up. Now if only the Girl Scouts would sell Thin Mints at Christmas my Christmas Candy Dreams would be complete…Thin Mints really don’t count as cookies do they?
Oh my just thinking about all those goodies I’m going to have to fast for a few days…luckily your sweet goodness here on your blog is fat free, guilt free and 100% inspirational. Now if only you could figure out how I can burn calories just surfing your pages – LOL!
Hugs and Holiday Blessings and thanks for the Sweet offering – Jean
