I love this modern color combination of Summer Splash, Calypso Coral, and Basic Black for summer. It really brings to life the embossed and die-cut stems created thru the “magic” of the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder (one of the new on-line exclusives and one of My Favorite Things).
WHAT I LOVE! The texture of the Summer Splash stem marries so well with the pattern of the envelope flap (Summer Splash, 2024-2026 In Color Designer Series Paper Collection – one of My Favorite Things). I adore the little “artful triumphs” like this on a card!

CUT YOUR CARD STOCK – DIMENSIONS:
- Crumb Cake Card Stock:
- Card Base – 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2 (top)
- Basic White Card Stock:
- Layer – 4 x 5 1/4
- Die-Cut Sentiment – 2 x 2 (before die-cutting)
- Basic Beige Card Stock:
- Layer – 3 3/4 x 5
- Summer Splash Card Stock:
- Die-Cut & Embossed Leaf – 5 x 3 1/2 (before die-cutting)
- Basic Black Card Stock:
- Die-Cut & Embossed Triple Leaf – 3 x 3 3/4 (before die-cutting)
- Small Die-Cut Triple Leaf – 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 (before die-cutting)
- Calypso Coral Card Stock:
- Die-Cut Double Leaf – 3 x 3 3/4 (before die-cutting)
PROJECT TUTORIAL:
Burnish the fold of the Crumb Cake card base with a Bone Folder.
Layer and adhere the Basic Beige and Basic White layers together and to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine (Standard) along with the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder and Changing Leaves dies to crop and emboss the Summer Splash (largest leaf) and Basic Black (triple leaf) cardstock pieces. Use a Mini MISTI stamp tool to stamp the sentiment (Changing Leaves stamp set) in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto the Basic White layer. Watch my 1 Minute to WOW video: The Magic of the Mini MISTI for a quick demonstration here.
Use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) to crop the Basic Black card stock(small triple leaf), the Calypso Coral card stock (detailed double leaf), and the stamped sentiment with the Changing Leaves dies.
Adhere the Basic Black and Summer Shadow embossed leaves to the card as shown with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Adhere the small leaves to the back of the cropped sentiment together and to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
POP OF PERSONALITY! Embellish with 3 Calypso Coal Ombre Matte Decorative Dots.
PERFECT POLISH! Adhere the 5 3/4 x 2 1/2 Designer Series Paper to the Basic White Note Card envelope flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Add glue to the flap.
