The pretty patterns on the middle heart and envelope flap are from Petal Passion Designer Series Paper (new), one of My Favorite Things.

I adhered the pattern to the envelope flap with Multi-Purpose Glue and used Paper Snips to remove the excess.  Watch my video with tips for this here.

  1. Wow! The colours are vibrant. Beautiful card. I wonder if you could tell me how you did the designer paper on the outside of the envelope. Your help would be appreciated. Susan

    • Happy to help, Susan. Here’s a video demonstration for you. https://stampinpretty.com/2016/05/wow-video-sneak-peek-affectionately.html

  2. Great card for both the guys and the gals and could also be used for “just because”! TFS Mary! 🙂

    • The fun color mix is the magic, yes? Thanks, Slick, for stopping by and leaving me a comment!

  3. Oh what a beautiful valentine card , those colors so perfect ??
Tfs MsMary, and those layers just pop,
    Hugs Frenchie ♥️

    • I cherish every one of your comments, Frenchie. Thanks for all your support!

    • Thanks, Robbye. The Whisper White layer measures 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ and Lemon Lime Twist layer measures 3 3/4″ x 4 3/4″.

  4. Amazing design, Mary. I love the “non pink” valentine. So refreshing and cool. 😉

    • I’m trying to decide if my next valentine should have traditional or non-traditional colors, Barb. Perhaps I need a classic look in pink/red/black?

  5. Love the hearts, colors, and I really like how you offset them lemon lime cs in this design. It gives it an added, interesting dimension! Good one, Mary!

    • That “skewed” layer of Lemon Lime Twist happened by accident, Karren. However, I thought it was a fun change up!

  6. Mary, I love this fresh and modern mix of prints and colors ? You really have a talent for seeing the potential in your Stampin’ goodies!

    • My starting concept often evolves into something different on a finished card. I’ll bet this happens to most paper crafters. However, I was determined to use three fun hearts and the “amazing” die cut, Amy!

    • That little “you” was the deciding factor to make this card . . . I was trying to see how to add in the stamp set (Amazing You) that coordinates with the Celebrate You Dies. Thanks, BK.

  7. You are so right……balance is everything! You do an incredible job on color and presentation. Thank you. So appreciate your efforts.

    • That’s music to my ears, Val. It’s always interesting where simply experimenting with placement takes us!

  8. As Maria says, the outside the traditional colors really make this card fun. Love the different shapes of hearts and the word die for amazing makes a perfect sentiment. Love word dies. Enjoy your day!

    • Thanks, Barbara. I moved around the sentiment and hearts until it finally said YES! Balance is everything!

  9. Oh my gosh Mary!!! I love, love this Valentine’s Day card, no need for anything red or pink, this card is just totally amazing and so elegant!!
It’s great to go outside the traditional colors for this special days.
    Thank you for sharing.
    XO
    Maria.

    • Thanks, Maria. I’m glad you like the color mix. Valentine’s Day cards are a delight to make!
