Today’s holiday card offers a lively mix of patterns and a new Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO371).
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- A simple collection of patterns to mix and match like Stampin’ Up! Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper is key. It made the list of My Favorite Things from the holiday catalog!
- Star Framelits Dies make the focal point a snap! I’m actually re-purposing the star from a gift tag I received from Stampin’ Up! Anyone else out there re-purpose?
- Balance lots of pattern with minimal embellishing. A Gold Basic Metal Button and Clothes Pin are plenty.
- Cool thing! The inside of the card matches the green pattern on the front. I added a Whisper White layer for sharing a personal message.

Mary,
I’ve been watching your videos for a long time but never commented before. I just love the combination of Kraft and color and pattern on this card! And the collection of elements clipped together with the clothespin is just adorable. Thanks for sharing your inspiring ideas!
I can’t tell you how much your kind comments mean to me, Naomi! Thank you for taking the time to say hello and share your thoughts!
Splendid idea, Laura. Those santas sound worthy of a second “gig!”
I always appreciate your sweet comments, Frenchie. Thanks for being such a loyal supporter!
thats a wonderful card, Mary. I also like to repurpose and I have some glittery santas and snowmen that came on last year’s Christmas crackers that I am going to decorate cards with this year.
Oooo, that’s a pretty one , love the star with the pins, love the colors you used MsMary
Thanks for sharing,
Hugs Frenchie,
Great card Mary, I love that DSP. My Star framelits have been getting a work out this season.
I always forget to use my clothes pins, D. They add such a WOW! touch!
Very pretty. Like the sentiment with the clothes pin.
Good point, Kadie. Very cozy. Thanks!
Carolyn, you inspired me to have a hot apple cider this a.m.!
Like you, Nancy, I hang on too really neat elements and try and give them “another chance!”
This card has a cozy kind of feel that makes me SMILE! LOVE the re-purposing going on.
Mary, good morning. I love this card! It has a nice “log cabin” feel to it. Makes me think of a warm fire, crackling pinecones and sipping a cup of hot tea. Thanks for the inspiration.
Good Morning Mary,
Love the colors of the card. I like the Folk Art-ish look. I re-purpose pieces of cards too, especially if I’m in a rush. I also like to make parts of cards for future use.
🙂
