Bold shapes and crisp colors are the perfect recipe for this masculine birthday card that’s destined for my 11 year old nephew. Today’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO263) provided the elements. I did a little “creative translation” to keep the look balanced and man-friendly.

- Circles are an easy way to go bold and
masculine. The sentiment circle mirrors the Early Espresso
one of the same size (2 1/2″).
- A handsome palette of Island Indigo, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla
were inspired by the prints I pulled from Festival of Prints Designer
Series Paper (Holiday Catalog). Each sheet is 4 1/2″ x 6 1/2″. Ideal for year round card making.
- For a little extra pizzaz, I added a Stampin’ Up! Island Indigo 3/8″ Designer Printed Brad.
- Stampin’ Up! Sweet Essentials stamp set offers every day basics in a snappy font. Complete set of images are at the end of this post.
